It was their 3rd match and Miwa seemed clueless about how to defeat He. The opportunity of having 3 matches to learn and improve against one single opponent is not quite often and Miwa didn't utilize this previous opportunity.

The difference between a regular "good" player and a potential super star player is whether they can learn, adapt, and improve quickly. Miwa has proved to miss this key characteristic, just like her opponent He Zhuojia and they are just normal "good" players/second tier players by Chinese standards and have no potential to be a super star player. Miwa and He Zhuojia are on the same level regarding their potential. Miwa is more lucky than He Zhuojia because she changed her citizenship from China to Japan in 2015 so that she has more opportunities to play in international tournaments. If Miwa kept her Chinese citizenship, she would have been ranked similarly as He Zhuojia in the world's ranking. A funny fact: the whole Harimoto family were Chinese citizens before 2015, and the father, Tomokazu Harimoto and Miwa Harimoto switched their citizenship from China to Japan but the mother is still holding Chinese citizenship currently. The main reason that Tomokazu and Miwa changed citizenship in 2015 is because they would have far fewer opportunities if they remained Chinese.

He defeated Miwa in last China smash but later Miwa beat He in return. Today He beat Miwa again. Their head to head is now 2:1 in favor of He.
