My favorite part of this video ''you have to reverse engineer the audience you want to reach and tell them something that brings them value'' keep up the amazing work Gary
I left a bad marriage at age 50, and in a nasty divorce lost EVERYTHING. My house, my community, my so-called friends, my credit rating, my middle class status, my financial security, my mental health. Three years later I have a home, a new marriage, and I’m building a brick and mortar business AND an internet business. I’m still totally broke, but I’ve never been happier, and I’m on my way to financial stability and meaningful work. I’m mentally healthy. And really the best thing that ever happened to me was losing it all. Being thrust totally unexpectedly into poverty, it turns out, is super motivating.
Adversity taught me how to survive and that it is up to me to make things happen. Please know your audience is not all millennial! I’m Gen X and the exact same age as you. Starting over again. Thanks for all you do!
There is no doubt sir. You have indefinitely invested the time in. I’ve been watching you now for years and man and genuinely appreciate your value. I thought I did years ago, and I’m sure I do now but my god. 20, 30 years from now the lives you will have changed. The poor you have brought from poverty👏🏽👏🏽bravo sir

I just want to say, it's the first time I have came across Gary, and tonight I was planning on getting a early sleep, I have just spent a hour watching this guy who has so much passion and heart about what he is about, I am absolutely hypnotized by him, I could listen too him all day, so if you read this Gary or someone who can tell Gary, the world should have more like you as we wouldn't be in the shit that this whole plant has to put up with, leaders or so called leaders need to listen to you my friend as I certainly will be every day from now on 👊✌
Am i the only one who really appreciates all the golden nuggets that garyvee plants for us to learn from? Like being a child of immigrants and growing up illiterate in many areas including business, i really absorb a lot from this guy 💯
Hey Gary, I am currently working in a new local digital marketing agency in my hometown and all my colleagues are either enrolled in college or graduating college. During the process of getting hired here I literally worked my ass off to get in. I typed a full audit on the company to showcase one of my few skills to get get a great impression. 2 weeks later they emailed me for a meeting and they asked me how did I manage to learn the things I know without any additional education prior to graduating high school. I told them I was a self-taught person and that I followed you because you are my mentor. They gave me a crazy look, so now my goal is to build my skills and prosper into a successful entrepreneur with my developed talents and become a thing of my own and crush anything in my way. You a great man Mr. Vee. I have much respect for you Raekwon
This is possibly the best video I’ve seen so far! Culture is so important to everything and you are doing a gutsy move that many managers are frightened of doing!! Thank you for that!
There is no "Participation Trophy" for ENTREPRENEURSHIP. You either are successful and have something to show for it or you are not! Gary's talks are eye-opening is so many ways!
Always love the real conversations around losing. There's so much documentation available now for everyone to promote their successes, but it's rare to see anyone discuss their failures and shortcomings in a real, honest way. We just did an entire episode dedicated to the biggest failure I've encountered in my professional career and it's funny to see how interested people are in those stories (for good or bad, who knows!). Not enough people talk about the amount of loss you have to experience and then learn and grow from in order to be truly successful.
When they were talking about how a company innovates to stay alive he really dropped a gem right there had to re-watch that part twice to really GET it
Love the content Gary. You have mastered putting out amazing content that can connect with ppl thru both short and long form media. Super important these days
'Entrepreneurship is binary - you either win or lose' _________________________________________________ Thanks for trying to make everyone a winner GV!
@GaryVee : You're a good leader...as you have said you came from a humble beginning and are not afraid of losing or failing. Very often, the lessons learned from confronting fear and uncertainty, and from experiencing frustration, transform good leaders into great ones. Today, leaders who have endured adversity are most likely to be the ones with the resilience and resolve to succeed. Gary Vee, please continue to inspire us. Thanks so much and God bless you.
I would have to say that this video is one of the best videos I've seen in a long time. I've been watching this content for over 2 years now, and I would have to say that this hit home.
Gary Vaynerchuk - "...if you can't be a good human being, I'm going to fire your face... ...and I value dollars... I just value slow dimes." ( 7:40 ) Whoa! That set a tremendous tone in my heart.
It's the same when someone says they are a "Music Producer". Anyone can say they produce music, but it doesn't mean that their influence was especially impactful. Ripping a bunch of samples off of another track doesn't make you a "Music Producer", it just makes you a Disk Jockey.
Remote work is amazing! I love not having to face my colleagues in the morning and the freedom to work from anywhere in the world. Plus, I never have to worry about the office.
Thanks, Gary!.It is my believe that everything he says are making better entrepreneurs and leaders. Unfortunately it will be missed or ignored by majority of the current CEOs and leaders of large corp.
It's so sad and so true. Then it's so fun as it creates opportunities... When you see these companies that don't innovate, it opens for you a door to take over and put them out of business.
Took an L the other day and was so embarrassed. But I learnt alot from it and want to change for the better. I think it's in my blood to get up off the floor and trying again. I want to do so much in the world. Clothing film photography. I just need to switch my mindset.
The Great Recession has taught us that we need to be prepared for the future, no matter what. We must build a business that can withstand tough times and continue to thrive.
Mr Gary Vee's attitude to success and failure is very much like the texans. ITS CRAZY. The texans brag about there failures because they know how to learn from it. They also are massively proud and have great gratitude for what they have succeeded in
Lean startup: bring value by solving the problems of your potential customers. You’ll end up learning that your assumed potencial customers have a totally different problem that you assumed they would have. You either change your business, or die. Most people find it easier to die.
We're pot committed as well. When you get rid of selfish, entitled top performers the next tier always rises up. The resources are already in place to make someone successful and the entire team gets stronger when the environment is more positive and optimistic. That was kind of a plug on the K Swiss shoe!
Why have I not have heard of you until today? I'm 28, stuck too far into corporate finance and time spent/wasted on a master degree. I should have spent the last 6 years building a business. Hard to turn down a 6 figure salary to start building a business. 100% excuse on my part... But it is what it is.
I love you Gary Vee, just the energy you put out, it's natural and its so awesome man, I can see you really care for people, and man, I Love it, thank you for giving me more insight that my purpose in life is well worth it and I will spread it as long as it makes me happy, much love man
*_Failure is good. Failure teaches us, it makes us strong. Failure to try is worse than trying and failing because even if you fail, you will get valuable experience. When you don’t even try, you learn nothing_*
Gary's right, it's all about communication. Technology has helped us comm faster and in so many ways. That's what the whole social media thing is about, comms 😎👍
I think its crazy that Gary is just starting to touch on this more. I’ve always been annoyed by people who’s content claims to be to help people when really its just a top-line funnel to get u to buy their shit. 🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️.
Gary Vee is successful because hes not a result of the education system and went to teach himself everything he needs to know. The way we think and act starts from when we are little kids in school and with the current education system that is in place, which is severely outdated by the way, makes it really hard for us to think outside the box, or outside of what he have been getting our brains stuffed for the past 12 years.
Can we get a video about your opinions about sports culture and your thoughts about how a market recession can impact the demand and desire, for example, collectible basketball cards and other sports memorabilia? Great video!
Karl Cronin what are you key strengths, things you can easily do that others find a struggle or frustrating to do? Can you offer an easier solution? Do you have a professional skills to start off with? That you could turn into an online product/service? If all else fails search top Niches online and see if one connects with your core values, services that would love to offer a solution and offer help.
While bringing others value, you'd also need to have self awareness if this value you give is also something that you like doing and makes you happy...over it being a profitable idea. Gary's philosophy has many moving parts. Making a profit isn't always a top priority...if at all. Being profitable will depend on if this value you give has a large enough of an audience to sustain your idea of profit or success. Hope I'm making sense.
Reverse Engineering your audience, have a coffee or lunch and listen to your customers, invest time constantly into yourself and how modern communication work , let pain fuel you and mold you into a better person and take care of your culture!
I don’t want to be called an entrepreneur. I hate that word. I just want to build and own my own business and sell it for millions. I prefer the word business man.
