Wow, You do know how to paint a picture Mrs. Carey. We walk the same tight rope You and I, just from different ends. Never a single moment did I have the feelings about Teresa that You describe having for Yourself (However She had the exact same feelings as You) yet those feelings are real and justified. Sigh...wish I had the wisdom to remove those doubts,, those fears, all those feelings; but I'm unable, and at the end of the day those emotions are useful. Something must drive us, inspire us, force us to seek something better, to not settle for status quo. To be driven from some internal standard or self obligation to acheive. This persute of satisfaction is healthy and normal and from my expirence requires Time and Unconditional Love. Sounds like Mr. Greg is Top Shelf Quality 😁 Be Well and Chase Your Desires!!
You're certainly not alone. The description you gave is spot on in so many ways. Don't give up or allow frustration to slow you down. The best satisfaction I get is beating back the pain. Inspiration can come in many forms and I hope in some small way I can add a bit to yours. You do have people in your corner, it took me a while to notice that my family was the biggest force I had. Never take them for granted. Hope you're day is a bright one.
Please DO NOT feel as a nuisance. This issue was thrown at you due to no fault of your own. Also don't give up on your goals. A priority list may help. One thing at a time. Intermediate goals come 1st. What must you do 1st before the next thing with your ultimate goal out there as the thing you are striving for. What little I've been able to know about you, you're amazing. I'm glad Greg tells you that. BELIEVE him. I would be happy to talk & encourage you at any time i can
It's amazing the pressure we put on ourselves. But your exactly right. I think active, determined and unselfish people have a hard time being laid up. But on the other hand. I think they recover better. When I get home from work. Before I go out and farm. I try to go in and see my wife after her work.
it is isn't it? We do put pressure on ourselves bc we expect so much. I do agree with you on the recovery part. It's like we Will ourselves to get better, maybe sometimes too soon.
I know exactly that feeling, Carey. I went from provider and the one who took care of every emergency at our home, to the one being looked after. It's gonna be worse coming up because of having surgery for a heart pump. I'll have constant care for the first 6 mos, but hopefully it will get better. My wife says the thought of me not being here is greater than any feeling of nuisance I may have. It doesn't help to see things I could have done before and now is totally out of the question. Stand strong, darlin. You're an inspiration.
I feel you have a lovely wife and she sounds much like my husband. It may be difficult on her with the added chores, etc. but my husband would agree that he would rather have me here than in a rehab or something of the sort.

I hope all of you know I'm in your corner also! This is a two way street, I can't ask for your support without paying it forward!
