I've always felt like mainstream remixes are just someone taking a pre-made instrumental and combining it with a random song's vocals. The instrumental never fits the song nor does it feel like it was even made with the song in mind. Most pop songs, including Paradise, follow a similar structure so it is possible. Ed Sheeran's ones are the most obvious examples of this.
