I agree, this is one of, if not the best track in the game. The amount of emotions and thematic elements put into it is simply jaw dropping. The track is haunting, tragic, desperate and… off. Turning Peter’s heroic motif into something sinister and unsettling is genius as well as nightmare fuel. Miles is not only fighting Peter to save him from the symbiote, but saving Peter from a spiral of addiction. “Be Greater, TOGETHER.” Addiction is a powerful force, and most of the time, you need loved ones to help you. Peter, like all of us, is human. As strong and badass as he is, he suffers mentally just like all of us. We need help when we’re grieving, guilty, insecure about our abilities. This fight represents that even the greatest can fall. Hard. But that accepting help is never something to overlook and that when you work together, you’ll do great things. And the music makes everything hit even harder with how emotional it is.

Because Venom was taking control of Peter, and like you said, Miles is fighting him to help save himself from the symbiote. I 100 percented this game after Christmas, and when I fought Peter, I even wanted to get rid of that suit.
The scene when peter takes the suit off is one of the most epic things ever It's right next to Cap picking up Mjolnir in endgame and Pete getting the anti venom suit for me and I'm sure we'll be getting more epic shit in spiderman 3
