  • Sparklers get super hot when you light them. Up to 2000 degrees by some measurements.
    In this video, we see if the sparkling end of a Fourth of July sparkler is hot enough to ignite the gas inside a propane forge.

    We usually light our gas forges carefully with a propane torch. In this video, we wanted to see if a sparkler would generate enough heat to A) Not go out from the gas pressure and B) provide the energy needed to ignite the gas.
