To all the people talking about deforestation - compared to Brazil, do you have anywhere near as much forest left?
It is important to say that there is a magnetic anomaly above this region of Brazil, the Brazilian authorities are not prepared for this, research it. This is what makes it prone to natural disasters, more consistent relief measures and in-depth research into what is happening above with the magnetic anomaly are needed. Together with US scientists, this is growing and could influence climate around the world.
Por gentileza, explique pra gente qual a relevância da sua pergunta. Grato.

I am from Porto Alegre (state's capital). No one is understanding what is going on here. It's not deforestation. It's not just rain. It's something else. I had to evacuate my apartment in downtown, which is flooded, and came to my parent's house on the other side of the city. We have a river surrounding the city that went up 5,2 meters today. In 1941 it went up to ~4,7 m and it was the only flood that happened in the past 80 years. I have lived here for 39 years and it makes no sense.

'm from Rio Grande do Sul. Just for the record... the area hit by the floods and destruction is similar to the areas of England, Scottland and Wales combined. The State population is about 11 million inhab. and the number of people directly affected about 5 million. It's incredible how the number of victims will remain relatively low (about 300 expected fatalities) under the circumstances (about 800mm of rain in 3 days). About a 100 towns are severely damaged. Also the capital, Porto Alegre, is severely affected The same area was hit by floods in 1941 and 1922 but economic losses were much less important then because of the population size which was much smaller on those days.
I never thought this would happen in Brazil, like, this has happened in several other countries and even hurricanes and strong winds are common here in Florida, but I never imagined this could happen in Brazil

Crescimento populacional, infraestrutura ruim, etc. I live in São Paulo and what I'm following the news is that the rain hit a very large area of the state of Rio Grande do Sul and the waters are currently invading the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre.
I heard the same thing...
This is the worst situation I've ever experienced. I'm Brazilian, living in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, where the floods occurred. It's like a war zone; I've never seen anything like it. Unfortunately, the situation doesn't seem to be improving. Brazilians themselves haven't opened their eyes to this reality yet. While Rio Grande do Sul is underwater because of the floods, on the same day, the state of Rio de Janeiro was celebrating Madonna's concert. Many news reports and spotlights were on the singer, while such a tragedy was happening. Now that the hypocrisy is over, I would like to know if the singer will at least make a donation to help these poor souls. She received more spotlights, more attention from the Brazilian media than the tragedy that devastated an entire state. I hope that other countries, like the USA, speak up and expose the hypocrisy that many Brazilians had to witness in the face of such tragedy, because the American media talked more about the tragedy than the Brazilian media talked about Madonna.
O mundo é assim. Eu não consegui parar de pensar na situação que vocês estão enfrentando desde que soube, mas me perguntam se sou estúpida por não saber que a Madonna está no Brasil.

Could this also be cloud seeding?
Nope, we don't do cloud seeding here
@@CerinAmroth
No. It is possible that they are conducting cloud seeding.
Cloud seeding is often carried out in areas that have been suffering from drought.
Many countries do not inform their citizens when cloud seeding is carried out.
Also, countries are often affected when neighboring countries conduct cloud seeding.
Furthermore, military countries often conduct cloud seeding as a disaster weapon and as an attack.
@@CerinAmroth
Cloud seeding accelerates floods, droughts, aridity, forest fires, and deserts.
Cloud seeding takes away natural rain, so abnormal weather increases.
The more countries around the world use cloud seeding, the more abnormal weather and climate change will accelerate.
Several military countries have been using weather weapons for a long time.
This is causing effects all over the world.
We need to suspect that cloud seeding is being carried out covertly. In order to stop the abnormal weather caused by cloud seeding.
@@Yamato-Yamato888 I'm living here for decades. I'm a gaúcho through and through. This is a subtropical area, not like Dubai, we don't have droughts here like some sort of desert area. This is south of Brazil, south of South America.
We've been getting warnings for at least a week: cold air coming from Argentina would get stuck in RGS because of the hot and dry air that was in the certer of Brazil. Rivers sources start exactly where the cold air was causing the weather instability. From there, all water came down to the Lake Guaíba where it flooded nearests cities.
So no, it has absolutely nothing to do with cloud seeding. It's an entirely different situation.
@@CerinAmroth
Amazon has been in a state of drought for a long time, causing increasing damage to agriculture.
It is entirely possible that a country carried out cloud seeding.
It is also possible that cloud seeding was carried out when neighboring countries were experiencing frequent droughts or forest fires.
Furthermore, military countries far away often carry out weather weapon attacks that increase the damage caused by droughts and forest fires.

Just so everbody knows, the president Lula da Silva, AKA Pinocchio, took so long to send help to the region. BTW, during the turmoil, he made jokes about the Rio Grande do Sul state, saying that he supported both big local teams. The army have been deployed too late as the death toll had already been high. The main help so far has come from civilians and businessmen. Road troopers have fined lorry motorists bringing food and water supply into the affected places claiming that they needed receipts to that.
