Sometimes you gotta realize how traumatizing this is for isaac, His body getting transformed into insane things and monsters who want to kill him and how much pain he's enduring, and all his multiple personalities, and how much lore there is, and then at Dogma battle they drop the entire "child's imagination" shit and were left to know if Isaac is alive or dead. God i fucking love this game.

This is a game with toys by the way, Isaac isn't experiencing it and is making it up as a scapegoat for his dysfunctional household. The toys, aka the enemies, bosses, and some items, are his dad's, as we see in legend of bum-bo. The "Mother" ending shows this best.
it’s actually what got me to finally put some time into Rebirth for whatever reason. before, i had only beaten the heart once, now i have all characters except The Lost, have beaten Isaac and Satan, unlocked It Lives and other stuff. and i don’t plan on slowing down any time soon :)
One of the things I love about this animation is how despite most things being curved everything feels sharp and cruel besides Isaac, feeling softer and round giving that higher connection to him
This animation coupled with the music choice is just incredible, I end up coming back to it every few days because I just cannot walk away from something so impressive

I still can’t get over this game. Just all of it brings me to tears when I realize that some of the game’s story was based off of the creator’s experiences (and other people's experiences). It’s easy sometimes to separate fiction from reality but when this horror is actually based in truth it’s terrifying. Because people do experience things like this. People go through trauma like this every day. Idk why I keep coming back to this game, even though it brings me so much sadness I feel drawn to it. Anyways.. sorry abt the random rant

All the time i spent with this, all the fun i had with it and trying to replicate things i saw on youtube, all the insanity the mods brang. Eh I mean the lore is pretty good, but honestly the only times you’re really reminded of it (the endings) get pretty stale after doing them dozens of times, and you just skip them anyway lol

This is a REALLY nice trailer to be fanmade. The transitions from the animated bits to the gameplay footage and back again are super clean. It really gives me the vibe of something I'd see during an adult swim commercial break.

At least for me, it's easy to forget amidst the game breaks and wealth of game content just how horribly tragic The Binding of Isaac's story is. Even emotional endings like the final ending become skippable after playing through them a few times. But it's content like this that really reminds me what a masterwork TBoI is, and how incredibly emotional the entire years-long experience has been. So thank you for this, and thank you to Edmund for making this stupendous game.
