I played in a prerelease and have looked at the game pretty closely. The starter is a real solid 2 player game all by itself. I recommend it as a two player game even if you purchase nothing else. Adding 12 or 24 boosters for $50 or $100 will massively expand your options. Unfortunately, to be really competitive in this game in constructed I believe you'll need to spend about $500 every 3 months. Ouch. However, if you're willing to put in some work, you can likely sell the special art version of the cards and replace them with normal art versions and use the extra funds to offset the costs of purchasing to cut down that cost quite a bit.
Some great advice here, but I’ll just add it’s every four months (unlike other similar games) which makes it a bit more manageable. And I think $500 is a bit extreme here since you can trade extras at local TCG stores or online to fill out your deck. But I’m new to these types of games, so please feel free to correct me if you disagree!
something for the latino community in this video Yoda said "si señor" 7:42 😊 lol love it, its one of the best videos. I had so much Joy waching you both!
You should try Altered. It shares many similarities to SWU, but the gameplay is much fresher, and has a more board game vibe so I think you will like it
I totally have no interest in the game but always enjoy the interaction you have with your family and their engagement with the games. Also kind of living vicariously as I was definitely a huge SW fan (I saw it the year of release on my 9th(?) birthday) and were I 9 I'm sure I'd be all about this. Anyway, totally appreciate the vid even though the game isn't for me. Thanks, Team Radcliffe!
My assumption is that the "S" stands for "Starter," as in those cards come from the Starter Decks. I'm not much of a TCG person, though, so take that with a grain of salt.

I love you're trying to do a video, and of course, the kiddo is grabbing at the cards out of excitement!

You are 100% correct. Those cards can only be found in the starter sets.
The award for most ridiculous box relative to what you actually get inside, goes to...
Yoda is opening star wars? Hmmmm 😅
Lol yep
I don't like foil cards. It's a superficial improvement that bends the card over time. It's card botox.
