Well, I use a thing called a Sausage Fattener made by Dada Life. You don't have to get it. Its basically acting as a limiter with the gain turned up a lot. So that is a good alternative. Also, yes :) it's soundcloud. com/kevinmackin
I know...by that I meant that they are the same style in some songs. I didn't ACTUALLY think they were the same guy. Plus, W&W is composed of 2 guys :). And with the pitch bend thing, this was just me saying that if you are looking to make this exact sound with these exact notes, then you need to turn up the pitch bed in order to get the synth to bend enough. Hope that answered your questions!
SHIT HOT VIDEO! and very clear with how your talking! I like it! it would be awesome if you could post videos on how to make the massive PAD Sound W&W make in the track LIFT off!! that would awesome!
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what the bend range option does. I was under the impression it only affected the range of notes over which a note would slide, determined by where they were placed in the midi file. Ie: the notes would only slide by the number of semitones that you have determined in sylenth, and of they are further apart in range they would play straight? I didn't think it had any bearing on actualy synthesis :/
Also, for the FX you use on the channel strip, is it just 2 compressors, 1 for normal compression and 1 for sideshain compression, and then a filter? Nothing more?
Great tutorial but to claim Ummet Ozcan and W&W are the same guy... that's ridiculous mate. Ummet Ozcan's style is completely different to W&W's signature tech trance of old. Two of my favourite artists and have followed them for years, it just so happens they have arrived at the same style but they are by no means the same person.
Really good tutorials man, probably the best I've seen in terms of accuracy and understandability. Keep it up!

Amazing! Can you please share the Ableton project?:)
Great tutorial man, Do you think you could maybe do one for a tommy trash synth like the lead in Ladi Dadi and the rolling bass?
Yes, I have a soundcloud. Its soundcloud. com/kevinmackin

Sylenth is a 32 bit Synth. I'm not sure if there is a 64 bit version out there or not, but I bet you could find out. Sorry I couldn't help

can you make a tutorial on how to make the synth used on showteks "slowdown" bass drop right before the "throw your fucking hands up" part?
using this tutorial in 2024 (:

I actually made the same exect sound on Massive and it was HUGE!
Ha ha by that I meant that they have the same exact sound

Hey man, what kind of VST did you use to simulate that piano? Thanks in advance.
Just the grand piano in ableton with a reverb on in
It's just the regular piano on Ableton
for the piano what do you use? nexus?
Are you using the 32 bit or 64 bit ableton?
I wish
No prob. man! Nice tutorial anyway ;)
hey hey~ are u ummet ozcan?!?!
Well, if we're going to get picky ;) The common ear can't hear the difference. Plus, who wouldn't want a fatter version? :)
man do you have any own tracks...you have the technical side of producing but lets see the musical side of you.
64 bit version
