For you customers you are the best man to negotiate with!!! When you get the stuff you offered more than they wanted, but the problem here is, when you get the stuff from them YOU PAY! So giving them more than they wanted is for sure a perfect negotiation for the other one, but not for you. I heard with both negotiations (buying the rubbish and selling the recycled material) you can go up to 20%, but I'm not sure.
Your workers also can sort, just talk to them and then order them to do so.
I would put all the stuff on pallet and bringing it to the storage after I got all stuff collected. Collecting you can only do a limited time of the day, working on your yard you can as long as you want.
