Oshay, great interview! Your questions were clear, concise and professional. The most pleasing thing for me to hear was there is a possibility for exemptions from import duty tax. That alone is worth the 100k in my opinion.

I feel like she was talking to a bunch of high end investors and not an everyday American who would like to make the move and this is the problem with most agencies. Would have appreicated more examples of countries allowed for dual citizenship, cheap effective ways and shortest possibel ways clearly articulated. Otherwise still a great interview. Thanks Oshay.

@Rick Can't Trade Not about that at all. I am a Ugandan citizen and I know people who have settled in with way less. What I can guarantee you is there are a tone of different nationilities from all over the world including indians, Chinese, Ethiopians, Somalis, Congolese who cant afford this kind of budget but are still making it big.
@@kaboyodaniel3630 don't forget the fact that some of those people came as refugees and there is a difference between a refugee and a non refugee

In Uganda we have so many refugees mostly from those countries affected by wars like Sudan,somalia etc

Honestly, I don't think its a good idea for someone moving from a developed nation to a developing nation to come looking for a job..... 1. Unemployment/underemployment is likely high....and I wouldn't want to be taking a job from a native coming from a developed nation where jobs are abundant. 2. The foreigner maybe used to being paid in dollars or pounds and might get disillusioned when they see the lower wages in a developing nation. That might hurt their confidence and they may run back to the states. Plus dealing with trying to find a job in a labor market they are unfamiliar with and may not speak the local languages etc would put them at a disadvantage. Now a refugee or retiree with a pension is different. But your average working age person from the USA or Britain needs to be starting a business. Even if they are freelancing doing remote work they need to make sure their standard of living isn't dependent on being employed by someone else locally. As Oshay said before if you're struggling in the States (where there is some social safety nets/high labor particpation rate) you're going to do even worse there. You need to be well-prepared.

I need to visit east Africa before I settle in Ghana. Between Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania 1 or 2 months at a time
This SOOOO helpful. What Expat Assist offers is a good business blueprint that can be applied in other African countries...(there is a business idea!!!)...something like Expat Assist is crucial because it helps naive foreigners avoid scams and helps them do things by the book to keep their visa status secure.
More than $50,000 to start a small business in Uganda? That kicks many of us out in the Diaspora...Those of us dying to get out of America and to Mama Africa, how can we SURVIVE AND THRIVE with very little money?
It's easy. Don't come. You are not ready for Africa with less than 50,000 usd.
Yep you aren't ready for Africa. Even though, mama Africa sold us and never helped us, it still wants money from us.
I just like the fact that you have displayed Uganda to the rest of the world am sure now people can know the true Uganda.
I don't how is to you if you also show them Uganda's tourists attractions we have like places,rivers,dams, historical sites etc.

Girl... people been flocking to UG for decades for tourism before kenganda lol. We have a whole ministry for tourism that has been adverstising all u mentioned to the world. He is just doing it for his people ( Black Americans) so they can pick up interest in visiting or settling in UG or Africa in general. They know the least about Africa than other foreigners which is ironic but they are now coming to sense.

Thanks Kenganda. Great interview. How would a person on a low budget be able to buy land in Uganda. 50,000 USD is on the high end.
If you a person on a low budget, you shouldn't buy land anywhere unless you have citizenship there.
@@Kenganda My point is Uganda has many Chinese, Ethipiopians, Congolese, Eritrians, Sudanese and so on who I know for sure can never afford a 50k budget let alone 10k but they are in the country trying to make a life of themselves. Many American brothers cant afford that budget but would like to move. Just to let them know that there are many cheaper ways and no hope lost otherwise there wouldnt be as many foreigners in Uganda as they are right now. Let's get some hustler ways on the channel. The corporates got a killing on this interview which is just the 10 percent.
@@kaboyodaniel3630 but just because others are doing it doesnt mean its smart. Alot of foreigners are living illegally in these places and they cannot contribute to the development of the country. If a person is unsuccessful in America, usually that will be expedited here. I recommend people to get the minimums that Tinah quoted. You need 50,000 usd in your bank account for small and investors license you need 100k. If you are doing business here illegally you will eventually be arrested.
@@kaboyodaniel3630 I will not recommend any other way than what the law allows. I am doing my part I fought hard for the collaboration. If you dont want to follow the rules, simply stay where you are.

@@Kenganda But in Israel, you can as a Jew. Seems that these "rules" were put in place to alienate possible black cohesion. And personally, I don't recognize any of these borders, as they were developed by WHITE people at the Berlin Conference of the 19th century. If I had the military firepower, I would take over all the mines, and resources, throw out corrupt leaders, take over land owned by whites, asians and arabs, and open up the WHOLE continent to any black person in the world, unless he intends to undermine our continent, being a Benedict Arnold. If you want to come to Africa and you don't have money, you will die a slow death. Its actually good they have these rules in place because only the entrepreneur/investor type can make it here.
@@Kenganda Actually, people with great ideas and even those of this bunch with little money should freely come to Africa. Moreover, the MUSCLE (soldier-types) aren't rich, and should be allowed in to shore up the military. Again, these rules are at the behest of Europeans, and not AFricans, so they are acting in European's stead by insisting on these silly rules. And Israel is an example of how things SHOULD be, not foreign policy wise, but as far as immigration. Finally, the white nations that dominate the world began as ideas (seemingly silly dreams) in white men's heads, and look what they've accomplished, although to our detriment. What separates a man from a woman or child is his ability to FORCE reality to represent his ideas of what he wants to be. jus sayin

What someone has to offer has nothing to do with their national origin its up to the individual. Additionally he is helping the _entire_ diaspora get access to expat information thats not easily available. Why do you generalize all ADOS as disengaged folks only concerned about reparations? Should I generalize all Ghanaians? SMH. Pathetic that people like you follow these "Pan-African" channels but have terrible things to say about millions of other Black people that were born in another country and have a different culture than you.....this is the problem with Black folks globally. Always trying to prove how much better you are than the next group of Blacks folks....as if your ethnic group/country doesn't have problems themselves.
