      I also bought one in orange after my wife said no more Ducati Monsters due to maintenance frustration. We sat on plenty of cruisers and more comfortable naked style bikes but she loved this one the most and guess what.... it is the one she rides the least. My only complaints are the factory seat is clearly meant for track riding since it is unbelievably hard even compared to some of the liter bikes I've ridden with stock seats. What surprised me, is the small amount of torque down low is so accessible almost tractor like when leaving stops. Second and final complaint, that damn silver muffler does not go with the bike at all, in any trim and its on the ZX-10R. I didn't want to spend money for a new exhaust and tune but because of how hideous it looks to me, it is necessary. Looks and seat aside which are cheap fixes, there isn't more you could ask for in a bike like this.

    This is one of the best reviews of the new ZX6R. Great Video sincerely!
    Mine is a 2019 storm Grey without abs. I got it 2 months ago and I've put 2900 miles on it so far. I'm actually dropping it off Thursday for my first oil change but the bikes second oil change after the first "break in".. it only had 1820 miles when I bought it.
    But yes it's very comfortable. I came off a 1500 kawasaki Vulcan and have only rode cruiser style bikes for 22 years. It took about a month to understand how to sit on and steering as well. But it's super comfortable and smooth. Especially when I got more familiar with it. I rest my left firearm on the tank and it takes 90% of weight off my entire lower body from lower back to my feet. So I can and have endured some long rides. I'm 40 years old as well.
    The control options and settings come in handy for rain and other circumstances that come up. The gears are very smooth but even when upshifting you have to be on the gasoline what when letting the clutch or engine braking will bog you way down Especially if you wind up rpms then upshift you will end up riding the tank if the gas is not initiated at least a little lmao.
    Engine braking is awesome!! And the front and back brake is really strong as well. Definitely has a lot of power and great throttle responses in lower rpms. But I think around 8 thousand rpms it comes alive fully. Truly an amazing experience riding the ZX6R. Very different from the cruiser bikes I am experienced with. Don't accidentally whiskey throttle. It's embarrassing and potentially harmful...
    But it's overall a great bike in looks and mechanically. Sounds great with factory exhaust but looks horrible in my opinion
    I can't miss a gas station... lmao if your in the throttle it drinks gas. I think I'd you drive it very low rpms it would be great on gas. I can't say at this point.. I'm not putting it around much.
    Ride safe, again great video really informative and accurate according to my experience on the 2019

      I sold my MINT and bone stock show room condition 2007 GSXR 1K (This bike was one of a kind remaining in the world) anyways, I bought a new 2019 ZX6R. I love the ZX6R more honestly. It’s More nimble, much better gearing, and tons of top end power. I managed to get $9,000 for my GSXR, and I added $1,000 bucks and purchased a brand new ZX6R. It’s a great bike!

    I just got my motorcycle license (Frist Time Rider) I went to a dealership yesterday. I talked to the salesman and he showed me a Ninja 650 for my first bike. But after talking to people and doing some research it seems like you have to redline the 650 to have any real fun? Is the ZX-6R a beginner bike and is a big difference in power between a 650 and ZX-6R.

    • @antjane6765
      @antjane6765 3 года назад

    • @cmbiker
      @cmbiker 3 года назад +2

      Trust me, you probably should not start out on a ZX6R. I started out on a 125cc then went up to 250cc then 400cc and eventually 750cc and higher. I'm sure if I had started out on a ZX6R I would have either killed myself or totaled the bike or both. If you want something more thrilling than the Ninja 650, check out the Yamaha MT-07 or R7 (same engine more or less as the MT-07 but in a sporty chassis). I had an MT-07 not long ago and it was a blast to ride.

    The 636 offering more torque over 600's is not at all a new concept kawi has been making their 600 a 636 since 2003 for additional torque. Would be cool if we heard more about the actual changes to the bike for 2020 rather than decade old selling points of the 636.

Maybe in a GP racetrack with long straights it would do with a little bit more, but you need to be really skilled to get there. Also, I now own a bimmer s1000xr and the ninja compared to this felt like a feather in weight, with some mods (exhaust, pegs...) you can make it even lighter

Triumph does now make a Daytona MOto2 but its 765cc. Though the fact you can get a under $10k bike (before other charges, of course), great bike. I had 3 ZX-6Rs, and I loved every one of them!

    Gotta learn to use the KIBS.
    Get to a parking lot that’s enough get ho to thirty , squeeze that tank with your legs and SLAM on those brakes progressively but sharply and hard
    Get used to a 100% stopping event.
    Then try it at 50% add a small swerve
    Then 100x bud then go ahead and try it while your steady turning .
    Try mashing the rear brake on a steady leaned turn . Then try some trail braking.
    Now make sure you have KIBS and not plain abs. But my bike with KIBS is amazing especially how you can brake in a turn without losing traction and without having the bike standup and run wide
