I know I shill 1h Katar a lot but its seriously great with incantations. 1h RR2 true combos into Catch Flame followed by a Flaming Strike psuedo on panic roll. RR2 to Wrath of Gold is also a psuedo roll catch on panic roll. You should try it. It plays like a shorter Halberd but with more combo potential.
One small comment I would make is that u can put endure on a claw because the 1h r2 into catch flame I à combo, and then u go r2 ( or if u swap to flame strike on a claw) it's very good on katar imo
