- Container Rolls Over on Muddy Trail Next to Live Train Tracks - 2023 is shaping up to be the year of our most difficult and challenging recoveries and rollovers ever. This one is no exception and EASILY takes the cake. We pride ourselves on working in limited areas such as near power lines or under bridges. But wow, this one took the crown in more ways than one.
For starters, it was next to a live train track. Then it was a non truck or car route, on top of the dirt being horribly muddy due to the rain. This meant we could not back up a truck to it, and had to superman the entire thing with just one truck. This is where Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator, really shines and shows how powerful she is. You'll see from the drone shots how it was impossible to station another truck here, but Big Flipper was up to the task and performed flawlessly even with a full load in the container.
Tons of rigging, tons of winchouts of my own trucks and many hours later, this baby was upright and we were back on the road to the shop. The rain made it impossible for us to continue winching the tractor trailer, so my dad came back the next day for that part. My only regret was not taking better cover with the Sony, as it shorted on me due to the rain and me not having it covered. Other than that, what did you guys think of these insane job?

It’s hard to believe a driver kept driving that way for that long. It had to feel not rite from the minute he started down that path. Wow. You guys are dam good at what you do. It’s awesome that you guys never gave up.
Great recovery
unfortunately since the pandemic when they just hired anyone they could get. There are a lot of truckers out there that just have no idea what they're doing and should not be driving.
this is normal roads where the driver is from I bet, this is why they make these mistakes. if you ever watch videos from youtubers driving thru these third world countries youll see trucks on their sides in the middle of nowhere, some just get pillaged for parts and abandoned @@timjames3191
Yeah, I've definitely gone down paths I shouldn't, but going backwards wasn't an option. Fortunately, I didn't flip or get stuck but it was close!
If you get a lot of those off road recoveries you might consider buying or renting a product such as DuraDeck 4x8 ground mats. They are designed for construction sites and are easy to place with a compact track loader.
The rotator has a boom. That's an easy way to place them, if you have enough of them of course. Even railroad ties would have helped in this situation.
When Pepe's claims themselves as L.A.'s premier towing and recovery company and someone questions that claim...show them THIS video. Amazing job gentlemen.
@@RMmotorsports1000 well that’s just a load of rubbish ain’t it could have all the money in the world with a top of the range fleet but with out the experience you’d still be useless which these guys ain’t
I always picture random hater trolls like you as some broke fat dude just seething with jealousy. Notice how it’s never anyone behind an actual tow company saying this, just random people that hide behind the internet ?
Cool, then what’s your company’s name so I can look you up and see what a “real” company looks like ?
What an epic job! You're going to be hard-pressed to top this one. Great job by everyone, but especially Alex.
I always say this to myself, then we go and up ourselves with an even crazier call haha. It's like the universe is throwing these hard balls at us to dry and defeat us.
@@PepesTowingService I give it 2 years before you have to remove a tractor trailer from a roof or something..... Not embeded in like it crashed into, but just on a roof. Could even be a flat top roof.
Yeah, the boss is right... that is a once in a career recovery... or you certainly hope so. Great work by the team getting all the hardware involved. You pulled every possible video resource to document this. Thanks for all the hard work getting this up for us. This demonstrates why Pepes shines.
Very impressive! You guys get the craziest jobs
Right? That was wild and the tracks were live. It was interesting to see the double stacked train go by when they were towing out.
Very impressed.
Oh man
The clean up !!!
Reminds me of the song by Donna Summer - "She works hard for the money". Pepe's crew definitely did that day. Excellent job, guys! It was definitely one of your more challenging recoveries.
Fantastic teamwork and all the ‘toys’ got used to get the job done! I was impressed with how you managed to source footage from every camera Josh, very clever and the video came together really well! I still consider your Dad to be the most amazing Father figure, constantly appreciating all of you at Pepe’s as well as the little voice message he sent you in the final clip, what a man!🙏
You guys give towing a whole new professional meaning
What a crazy muddy mess, your whole team did a great job. Thanks for the video and for going to extremes for customers.
Team?? one guy does the work (most of it) and the others yell at him, yeap,, that's a team alright
You must be new to the channel. I love when a random clown sees one video and instantly becomes a qualified expert. Go back to bed old man
Pepes towing always deliver great service. Also an unusual recovery jobs for a while. Good job guys
I've said it once, & I'll say it again Josh...There's NOTHING Pepe's cannot do- Absolutely awesome!!!
I’m a 71-year-old woman that’s been watching your channel for a little while now and every time you put those lights on the trucks special at night time even though it’s been a day makes my heart skip a beat on the car phonetic and a truck fanatic
Y’all absolutely made the railroad guy’s day … this’ll be shop talk for weeks, easy… 😂
Hats off to Pepe's! You outdid yourselves on this one!
Having watched all of your videos, this one is a trophy job off the charts.
I don’t know if you ever knew about this Josh , but there are mats that are made out of some kind of plastic. The tree people use all the time for mud. You lay them down kind of like 4 x 8 sheets of plyboard but you can work on top of them and you won’t sync in the mud.
That was an unbelievable recovery - great work by all!
Wow this was an amazing video nice hard work guys
What great job Alex and pepes I don’t think people not in the business realize what a risk this job was excellent work guys really
Hey Josh I loved your editing on this one. Loved all the loops you threw us on. And it was nice to see your Dad on the channel again. As always great work team!
This has to be your most difficult recovery to date! NEVER GIVE UP!! has to be your motto!
That was just total perseverance, great job by the whole crew.
good job
Cheers for Alex. The man is a worker!
Now you're showing off at 17 minutes! Good for you producing such good quality clean videos for family entertainment! Even us old ladies. You are a great example/teacher for kids and businesspeople on so many levels.
That has to be one of the gnarliest, toughest jobs I’ve seen you guys do, but the “Never quit” attitude and ethos, your professionalism, ingenuity and teamwork couldn’t be demonstrated more. Hats off to all of you.
Fantastic job in very adverse conditions
Well done!
You guys absolutely killed this one! Awesome job! Amazing what the right operator with the right equipment is able to accomplish!
Railroads have cranes, but they probably didn’t want to get involved
Great job Alex, Papa Pepe and Josh. You guys are absolute best! 41:12 😊
What a mess! Enjoyed!
WOW -- I honestly thought you had met your match and that you would not be able to complete the recovery until things dried out. Doing the job with only Big Flipper was incredibly impressive. Even after the uprighting was complete, I thought you might have yourselves in an impossible situation. I think I heard your dad say "you'll never see another one like this."
NEVER QUIT!!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!! **BEST** Pepe's video EVER!!!! Without Pepe's and Big Flipper, it would have taken a railroad crane to get that out of there!! That was an EPIC flex by Big Flipper for sure!! HUGE kudos to you all for an *EPIC* win!!
Gettin' there is half the fun , great job ! 🤓🙋♂️👍
Unbelievable recovery...what talent and team work.
The container train at the end was a good touch... I would hate to pay the bill on this recovery...
wow whata difficult job ,Pepes to the rescue again, what a great team ,you get the job done
Using trees? Am I watching @Ron Pratt hauling out farm equipment from a giant mud hole 500 feet from a road? No, its Pepe! and a container. Only thing you didn't have was yankum rope. Great work for something you never do in the big city where everything is pavement.
Definitely a good video Josh and Alex and Dad
What a mess! I admire everyone's never quit attitude. I'll bet you slept very well that night!
Your dad has the biggest pair in the business. First time I seen a Rotator buried in mud. We aren't leaving until it's out.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then Dad says spray that ether in there. It was great!
Funny to watch SolCal people deal with rain and mud :)
I literally laughed out loud when flipper rotated while being winched. It reminds me of when I have to use the snatch block to winch our storage units out of weird places and the 3,500 lb unit just rotates 45 degrees like nothing. This was an awesome flip, man. Good work!
The clean up bill alone is going to be astronomical. Good work.
This is what family is all about..Team work. Great.
the best one recovery yet. My son loves watching the recoveries.
Wow you guys are amazing ❤❤❤
An EPIC recovery!
Josh amazing teamwork by the whole crew, Alex, you, your Dad and everyone else did a great job! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Especially Alex, i hope he got a bonus for this job!
Josh comes home and says “Hey honey guess what exciting day I had at work” Wife says “Don’t bother telling my I’ll Watch it on RUclips later”. Great Job guys!!! I don’t blame your dad for saying “we are not doing another one of these” What a great reward for sticking to it. At least you won’t have to tell your grandkids about it, you can show them
That was a hell of a job didn't see it go all the way over but I didn't think you guys were gonna get it Very impressive
Swift has now called and offered him a trainer position after this video posted.
Enjoyed this one, Little old school with your high tech wreckers.
Holy cow, that was exhausting work
You guys are so impressive, and the work you perform is incredible.
Thanks for this channel.
I am a retired 35 year trucker and am not easily impressed. You guys are awesome!
SHE is a beauty
The entire time you are working this job I was thinking of the 🎵 🎶 song “It Never Rains in Southern California”.
Mis felicidades a ti y en especial a Don PEPE por un trabajo maravilloso.
Truck drivers today are something else
Wow!!! What a difficult recovery! I was feeling sympathy for all you guys as well as your nice Pete Rotator in the mud.
What A TOTAL NIGHTMARE GONG SHOW TRAIN WRECK THAT Turned Out To Be , But What A GREAT JOB YOU ALL DID YOU ARE THE BEST !!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You'll never forget this one!
Mad mad mad respect for you guys for not giving up. I heard dad say he'd pass next time. I understand that.
This is a video you should send to the truck and body builders...this IS what our trucks can do...great PR for sure!! What a hellacious job ...Assuming the person who put that truck back there isn't an owner operator then I would guess he is now looking for a new job. I can't imagine seeing that tab! it was nice of the RR to stay with you guys and help out with lighting the area up a bit more. I just can't see how that poor truck made it that far before getting stuck. I feel for whoever had to detail all of the equipment after this...an all day job by itself!! You guys just showed why you guys have the reputation you do...never giving up on the casualty. And a good nights sleep was had by all...cheers guys!! High fives to one and all!!
Pepe's does unbelievable rescues! Getting in was a challenge, righting that full-size rig was impossible and then back on the road!! In the effing RAIN!! Mega Kudos!!!
I use goggle map all the time but I always go to satellite view to see where the roads go before I leave. Yes I drive big rigs. That satellite view has saved me so many times. I just had to look and see what roads look ok. Plus I compare them to my old fashion paper atlas. Saves me a lot of headaches.
Great job tho. You all rock.
Pepe's Towing new addition to the fleet is a "Heavy Lift Helicopter"
for future jobs like this
😂💪💪🤣
Mosr surprising thing about this job: you didn't wreck Big Flipper. Alex's driving and courage were amazing.
Leasr surprisiing: Dad saying we ain't leaving until we're done.
Honorable mention for least surprising: camera problems in the garbage weather.
Great job all around.
Mr Josh Awesome recovery. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Amazing team effort
Been a subscriber for a few months and I'm loving it. So glad I found it. You guys are awesome! Such teamwork and (in my Dominic Toretto voice), "Family".
l✌️😎
Well done Alex !!!
I enjoy watching you all. Your family is awesome. ❤ Papas there with his son. I love it.
Oh man what a call !
What a Brutal Recovery!! I'm sure even Jamie Davis, would have problems with this Recovery!! U Guys and your dad and 🥟 Rock!! Many cerves after this Recovery!! Keep up your professional skills and dedication!! Should put this on Bonhead Truckers.
I've never seen this before! You are the specialists.
Incredible job, guys! You guys made the impossible possible. Great to see dad back in action. The way you find solutions to a problem is remarkable. My boss back in the day always used this frase, " we solve a problem in an instant, the impossible only takes a little bit longer". Good motto for Pepes! Keep 'em comin' Josh!
Very impressive, work fellas!! I really enjoy all of your videos, you guys are truly professionals!!
One heck of a winch out and fantastic work by everybody! I know I'm seeing this a year later but this was a big winch out and Pepe's did a phenominal job!😂😂😂😂
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Epic recovery.
That one took all of your winching skills to get it out! Good job guys!
Fantastic onr of your best
Big job! Well done!
All skills on deck , this job is not for the weak at heart. Great recovery , awesome video .
Okay, I have to laugh a bit cause off-road/construction is clearly a little outside your wheelhouse, but you stuck with it for city boys, put your heads together and did the Pepe's thing - you got em out. Good work!
I love your content. You guys are awesome✌️
good job fellows, everytime
WOW I keep watching more and more videos and you guys keep outdoing yourselves. Great work on the video Josh, I think you knew at the beginning it was going to be difficult from a video perspective. I love seeing everybody working together, and it's not just one person pulling most of the load. Your Dad listens to others input, gives his and will step back when he realizes his suggestion isn't going to work (rocks under the back of the truck).
The railroad ballast was a big help, I imagine they (the RR) needs to come out and fix that ballast (rocks on the side of the RR). I like the idea of the Duradeck ground mats they have a WLL of 60 to 80 tons, perfect for your heavy wreckers. Not sure where you would carry them. Maybe not permanently on the truck I don't know.
Bad ass equipment, badass workers. Puros chingones 💪🏽 from father to son. Keep filming bro. Shout out from Dana Point!
Awesome job guys finally got it out
Nice work 👍😊
Mud on Big Flipper Tires? Well this bill just grew astronomically for cosmetic damage! Another fine recovery and video by the Pepe's team!
Great job. You all earned your stripes on that one
Amazing job by the whole crew. Unbearable conditions and I can't think of a better team on the job. Now there is a lot of clean up on Big Flipper.
Containers are everyone's specialty. Always rigid and structured for an ideal recovery.
You’d be surprised. For some reason tons of companies struggle with containers. As for always rigid, I have tons on my channel where they’re torn open and completely ravished.
Yeah, Ten-Four. Clearly with enough impact anything we'll get mangled up. But you understand in general terms, comparatively to regular box trailers they are quite rigid.
Yes sometimes the load shifted inside and makes it a living nightmare, LOL. Good job
Great job, 👏🏻to all that worked the job. DAD knows best 😊
You guys sure earnt your dollars on this one for sure!!! what a recovery lol
SnowRunner looks a lot less fun IRL than it does in the game 😁
