Hello there! They actually took home gold in their division (Junior All-Girl Advanced) despite being up against 4 other teams. The reason you can see certain high school teams doing more difficult skills is because their division would allow it. High school teams (like ICU teams) have different divisions requiring specific skills to hit score sheets. I personally know this team, the hard work they put into this competition, and how much their routine changed. They did not go into this competition expecting to win, but they gave their all. Please do not judge any team too harshly. Cheerleading is too large of a sport for that, and you never know what a group of athletes have been through. We should be building up and cheering on our fellow athletes, not tearing them down.
@@jessgobills Your comments are incredibely rude and disrespectful and you clearly do not know enough about cheerleading worldwide, levels, or divisions at Worlds to give an educated opinion. Even though I cant speak for all, vast majority of cheerleading world pride themselves in being respectful and humble, so nobody will step down to meet you at your level. I am sure your 'highschool teams in US doing a lot more' are full of athletes who compete separetely with their all star teams at different divisions, during a separate event at Worlds. They might be better, yes, a shocker, given the fact that USA is the cradle of cheerleading, the sport in your country exists for over 100 years, whereas in Europe it's mere decades. Every team that makes it to Worlds works extremely hard and if they happen to win a medal they know it's deserved, irrelevant of the division as within theirs they simply were the best that season. Please come back when you know more or actually want to learn about this topic, until then you're doing a huge disservice to your fellow (and probably more respectful) Americans with your poor attitude.
