It was a great game...i would say that though!! I still watch the dvd from time to time.Fax were a bit lucky with Saints having 3 tries wiped off.Within 2 seasons we were relegated and had no money!!
Why didn't we just drop a goal??? Aaaaaaaarrrrggghhh!!! This was my first trip to Wembley, and it still hurts today, even more than the 27-0 defeat in 89. We didn't play well in 89 and deserved nothing, but we deserved at least a draw in 87. Whatever happened to the half-time 'entertainer' who did a strip on the posts at the tunnel end? PS, you should be in Super League, not Wakefield. Good luck this season!
