Dude you have earned my subscription! You are an inspiration! Your one day "lazy bone" effort is more than many could muster up.... I appreciate your dedication to going all over. You catch solid fish everywhere you go! Right on man!
I was ready to go hard out in a search for new water! I saw that easier vista point and almost laid rubber on the road I turned so hard! I'll be hiking out to see what is out there soon.
There is so much lake out there to fish I barely have scratched the surface. I would use my boat but the regulations for Lake Tahoe are more than I care to hassle with.
Since I was a little kid in the 70's! I grew up in San Mateo so I was going to Candlestick Park all the way through high school. Those colors don't run!
I tried to hang in there but the waves got way to crazy and that water was freezing cold! My rods are too short to move them back without a huge boulders getting in the way.
Thank you very much. I appreciate the extra support. Once the snow melts I plan to hit the high country hard and a lot of it is going to cost a few bucks to reach. Thanks again.
It was nice when I got there! There wasn't even much wind where I was but it was windy somewhere on that lake because those swells started rolling in! Glad I got one early!
I don't because I live in an apartment complex and a smoker wouldn't be fair to my neighbors. I will say that those trout out of Lake Tahoe would be awesome smoked.
This is the Logan Shoals Vista point. Google maps has it. Coming from the direction of Incline Village, it's just before you go into the tunnel before you get to Cave Rock State Park (from the other way it's shortly after you leave the tunnel). It's on the Nevada side. I recommend confirming regulations for yourself but it is my understanding both State Licenses are valid on the lake. I have a bunch of clips for Tahoe on my Lakes and reservoirs playlist.
I don't know. I think it was just a really silver rainbow. The tail was typical rainbow. I don't know. What ever it was it has already been fileted, cooked, and eaten! It was awesome!
On the California side, you need to have a 2nd rod designation on your license. It's my understanding that either license is good on the lake but I recommend confirming that for yourself before testing it! I have both so it's no worry for me. I have 2nd rod on my California non-resident license.

Well said my friend

Wow...it went from mild to wild! Nice fish makes it worthwhile! Thanks amigo.
Right! It was peaceful and calm when I started fishing but the fishing conditions went south real fast! I got hammered by a few of those wave sets!
Kokanee..not coho..lol..😁
That's what I was thinking..
I think that was just a silver rainbow. The tail didn't look like a salmon. Who knows, it was really good either way.
We would troll there in my Dads boat when I was a kid 1968 ish. Good fishing. We used Minos.

Time to go home nice job 😎
Yeah, if I didn't already have that fish in the cooler I might have toughed those conditions out a little longer. That fish was my pass to quit!
Giants fan 😎

Way to rough it out at least you got one beautiful fish👊🎣👍

it’s like Half Moon Bay surf
Right! It was like I was on the outer breakwater at Princeton! There were a few sets that really soaked me!
Amani, your one of a kind. Love your videos. Forward on buddy. I think I will increase my Patreon account to help you out with gas.

That fish looks almost like a steelhead
Yeah, it was really silver.
Most of the trout planted in California are of the steelhead variant.
I got this from the fish plant tank trucks dumping trout into Shasta Lake.
Bro your wild for going out in that weather but sheesh that was a nice fish 😂
It was nice when I got there! There wasn't even much wind where I was but it was windy somewhere on that lake because those swells started rolling in! Glad I got one early!
Solid fish brother
Right on. Glad I got it early because it got nasty out there in quick fashion!
I feel it on the gas prices man, that's why I am so happy I have fishing to save me money! When I stay out of the bait shop that is... haha
Yeah, I drove 4 hours round trip yesterday to fish Almanor and I came up empty. Fish were hitting real light and were dropping my bait. That one hurt!
Huge fish the Trifecta
When ever I say Trifecta I think of bust it!
Nice fish!
The filets are awesome! I was one run away from that tiny hook popping out!
Good looking fish, do you ever smoke some of your fish ?
yes but it is hard to find that size rolling paper.
😂
I don't because I live in an apartment complex and a smoker wouldn't be fair to my neighbors. I will say that those trout out of Lake Tahoe would be awesome smoked.
LOL

Coho has a distinct white mouth.
You should really try using hookup baits
Don't know what that is.
Let’s goooo!
Right! So glad I got that one early before those freezing waves started crashing down on me! It got ugly out there!
Do you need another stamp to use two rods at Lake Tahoe?

Behave !!! Lol
Oh, it got crazy out there!
