- Here's new a music video for right now as Im working on a project. This video as steam locomotive working from sun ries and sun set. The song 'I know how the moon must feel' from Thomas and the Magic Railroad. Footage are from Highball Productions and Steam Train Videos. 2000 Unforscene Music LTD.
An older gentleman once told me that a steam locomotive, even if it's fire is out, will never stop breathing. I put my hand on a steamers throttle and I could feel it moving and breathing
Something else isn't it? You can almost feel it talking to ya. I get the same feeling when I'm at the throttle of a steam turbine on a steamship.
I agree wholeheartedly. Whenever I get the chance to just see DM&IR 227 at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum it makes me feel something
even if it’s at a stand still or a model of one, you can feel when a steamer is alive, becuase you will feel the power and size of a engine that could sometimes take forever to start, but at other times outpull the strongest diesel and get stuck in the hearts of those witnessing its raw power
Steam engines are alive in a way like us humans, they have a mechanical soul and if they are treated and cared for properly they’ll live on forever, just like everyone will until a certain point, but will we forget them or forget us?, no they won’t and we don’t either
That’s a true statement sir steam engines are our legacy.. ❤❤❤
I remember going to the Galveston train museum, and I will always get on one of the old steam trains and it feels like it could take off at any moment. It's interesting. The steam engine is the closest we'll get to a living breathing machine. It "eats" coal, it "drinks" water, the smoke from its funnel is the carbon dioxide we exclude from our breath each day. The rods and wheels act as its legs, and its pistons act as its lungs, it's firebox is its stomach, it's whistle is its voice. The steam engine is the only machine to come close to being alive.
Steam Locomotives: The only man made thing and machine with soul.
Agreed
BlackHat 6 I agree steam engines have a soul they are alive
Absolutely.
Trust me, the only steam engine operating where I live is Comal Power Company 1, at the Texas Transportation Museum
What about old cars?
This song was one of my favorite songs from “Thomas and the Magic Railroad” and continues to be my fav Thomas film as well as this song being my fav one from the film.
That last shot of that steam engine going into the sunset made me really cry because I went to a scrap yard and I actually saw a real scrapped steam engine
Jmount Gaming *Riding Off Into The Sunset* 😭😭😭.
That is so sad
Me: how much for this?
Honestly there will never be a more beautiful machine than steam locomotives. Even after all this time, having to worry about work, moving out into a new house, and still looking for an affordable apartment, these engines and this song can still give me a comfort unlike anything else in my life, even after I’ve stopped being a child a long time ago. This song always stood out to me even when I was a child, and listening it to it now with everything going on, I can’t help but tear up. Times were so much simpler, even if I didn’t know it at the time.
As lady would say brings to life the magic in all of us.😇🌌🌅
And would you Agree people
Its been half a year but yea I agree
Seeing all these steamers are listening to this song is bringing tears into my eyes. I love steam!
This song hits harder than any passing train ever could. It makes me think of relatives I lost.
Same man. I used to watch the movie with my father all the time and we would go to railway museums all the time. He's no longer around so this song gives me solace
Truer words were never spoken. My grandmother introduced me to Thomas and Friends, with Magic Railroad being one of my earliest memories. I owe my love and passion for trains to my grandmother and I will always be grateful for her and her love for me.
Such a soul of a steam locomotive
You know you created a masterpeice when you manage to bring grown ups to tears. It's A MASTERPEICE!
Soundtrack from "Thomas and the Magic Railroad".
Thank you Peter.
R.I.P Peter Fonda😢
We will miss you😢😢😢
Whenever I feel stressed out, I turn on this video and the stress melts away
There is just something about this thats so peaceful and relaxing
That's why steam locomotive Are so beautiful in their Steam from the view that makes you cry seeing how beautiful it is.
About one month before we were in a world pandemic I had finished a stressful day at work. I was about to just go home but then I decided to ride on the Staten Island Railway just for fun. I hadn't ridden on it in years. Once there was nobody else left in the train car with me I began listening to this song
Next time, you should listen to it with the whole car. Don't worry about being seen as childish. You never know; maybe someone in that train car likes Thomas The Tank Engine
Dude..............hit me right in the feels with this one! So beautifully done!
This is a beautiful video, thank you TheRailFanningBoy, for making it!
Watching this beautiful video and listening to the song brings tears to my eyes. There definitely is something magical about steam engines!
Seeing all the trains Of the passing steam locomotive is so Beautiful.😭😇
If I could be a vehicle it would be the Steam Engine; wind in my smoke-box face, steam in my veins, fire in my heart, and wheels humming on the high-iron.
BuckEye49 id be an N&W Y6 or maybe a UP Big Boy
I'd be a PRR S1 or T1 duplex they are absolute beauties of steam locos
I got an ad for a Thomas and Friends toy trainset before this video.
Fun fact: Some scenes for Thomas and the Magic Railroad were filmed on the Strasburg railroad.
Well this scene could have been add in Thomas and the magic railroad.
The fact that this song makes me believe in the magic of steam locomotives being living things with it's own story to tell. You never know what her journey is, but you know her life is on a pathway. A steam engine's pathway shows her where she has been, where she is, and where she is going. This pathway may lead her to fame, or it may lead her to a satisfying ending to service. The pathway of a steam locomotive may end, but her legacy could still carry on. That is the joy in the magic of Steam Engines.
this is the best thing i ever seen back in the old days when there where great steam engines
Union Pacific is restoring one of the greats, the loco number is 4014
I listen to this when I play with my model trains
This is a song when you’re feeling lonely 😢😥 and Sad after a breakup.
1:20 that engine is gorgeous.... 😍😍😍
@Fresh Powder my love is Big Boy 4014. She's my baby.
For me its the 611
For me it's the S-1 duplex locomotive which was scrapped and the T-1 duplex which a new one is being built they are both beautiful and elegant engines😍😍😍😍
for me its the berkshire class engines
Because these 2 trains together pulling passengers look so beautiful and awesome. And very powerful.
I wanna get in a locomotive, and just ride away to my own world...
+clinthudson1226 I want a narrow gauge engine- like Rheneas or Skarloey.
Ditto to that.
I want the polar express or the 20th century limited and do the same
I want to climb into the cab of Big Boy 4014 and take her on a magical journey with Challenger, Triplex, Daylight, 844, Garrett, Pere Marquette 1225, Steam Turbine, Hudson, and Stephenson's Rocket linked behind.
I just want to be like Mr. Conductor & do the work he did.
RIP Peter Fonda or Bradnet Stone from the movie
Video makes me want to take a long ride on a steam locomotive with a group of friends who are my bestest and closest friends. I wish they never took steam locomotives out of service. Steam locomotives are better than diesels.
I think every train has a right to exist. I love steam locomotives, but there is also a lot of magic in Diesel locos. Every locomotive has a soul in a way.
1:06 this shot was in one of my favorite childhood DVDs, so it's cool to see it here.
This made me cry seriously.
Kris 2004 I was about to say the same thing my god this is amazing
Same. Steam is love. Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 is my baby. All hail steam locomotives!
I was about to do the same thing
Same with me!
This makes me feel things. Especially with the trains. Just... Breathless, I guess. I like it
Haha anyone else getting nostalgia?
Multi2-4Gaming
That movie was my childhood

Every time I think of this song I think of this video and the Beauty of all the trains now I can never stop thinking of the song
Gave me nostalgia from over the sea......
Beautiful...such beautiful machines
I want my own steam railroad.
gotta be pretty rich
@@justinworld9 the track is the most expansive. Steam locos are fairly affordable for their size.
Girl. I can't believe you didn't cry in Titanic have you ever cryed

thank you very much for the great childhood memories
I'm in tears great vid keep up the good work
Song brings back memories of being a kid again. Shed a tear when I hear this, always loved steam engines, great video
I say that th unique steam engines that we still have preserved, show you that the first automotive transporttation of the steam age Isn't gone, like I always say, it might show a sign of oldness, but still shows you the feel of the power to dominate modern locomotives today
Really enjoyed this! Beautiful work :)
I see steam engines are more like a legend and in our reality they evolved to become more powerful than diesel engines will ever be again.😇👸🤴🙎♂️🙎♀️🐅🐈🐕🐶🐱🦊
Steam engines are very special to have, but diesels are just better. Sorry
Oh my god, IM TEARING UP! IT'S BEAUTIFUL!
0:31 1225 (Real Polar Express) and 765 nice sight
I say this song makes anyone cry😭🌈🌠👨👩👧👦
god i love this
If you took all the photos and videos and linked it all together this is so beautiful
I haven't seen a steam engine for 4 years
I'm crying I love trains and the circus I will find a way to combine the two and will open a show with a circus and a train museum and there I will put old trains into action and let poeple ride on then and let them see the wonder to
For some reason, I really have to say if this song was musically used as a travel theme for the island of sodor, it would probably make the show 20 times better.
This is the perfect video for the song
😥 Man This is so beautiful

Lily is my favourite
I cried when I saw npr 765 with pere Marquette 1225
Love it
This video and song make me wonder why the diesels and electric locomotives were invented
one nasty little four letter word: COST
I'm with bill, although, even though i LOVE steam engines, I've learned to appreciate diesels as well.
Because steam locos were too expensive to run and when passengers stuck their head out the window they'd get a face full of coal dust
Oh and I never understood why diesels were portrayed as evil villains in Thomas and friends
Chance Ramsey steam engines cost too much, and weren't that fast. That's why.
I missed Grandma McElroy too!
Unpopular opinion: I really disagree with what most railroad experts say about diesels, sure they might not having the same breathing as the steamers when they get idle or slowly build up steam, but when they’re starting up, something awesome and thrilling occurs within their engine. The motor in them, (especially the SD40s) sound allot like a creature that just roars loudly to get everyone’s attention and the way the noise doesn’t die off when it puts it on is just way wicked cool. Anyone who says diesels are “dull boxes on wheels”Id be “Wowwwww!!!” That is just railroad opinions of predjuice I wound my have thought of that!!!
My favorite clip in this video is how the union pacific steam locomotive passes by with its tender
1:01 the polar express
😢😥william oscer garvin:Especially with the song and music☺️😊
0:32 Pere Marquette No.1225 and nickel plate road Double heading
Yeah wish I could've been around when these iron horses ruled the lines I've only ever seen 1 and that was when I was very young we stopped to see it when we passed through Paris ky never knew what happened to it
Me too. I want to see my Favorite Engines List all alive. Sadly, Triplex, Hudson and Steam Turbine are dead.
"Paris ky" Lol you were very close to where I live XD
Places like Strasbourg PA and Palestine/Rusk TX have steam excursion along with some obscure places.
Taff_Thomas&FriendsFan783 the Train/Wolf the triplex was a mechanical nightmare since it was difficult to keep its boiler pressure up do to the fact it had three pairs of cylinders. Still a cool locomotive, just a very difficult one to operate.
@@AtkataffTheAlpha so are the PRR S1 and T1 duplexes
Does anyone know where the last clip is from? (The one with the silhouetted train)
I wonder if anyone's looking up from the Heaven.🙎♂️🙆♀️🙆♂️❤
how do you play the music and train video and still hear both
the holy power of the internet

Shouda had more Strasburg and 475.
I know this song it’s a Railroad song
Someone needs to make this an MLG remix like the theme song lol
No
That would ruin the emotion of this song
Put faces on the trains and then it'll really feel like a Thomas the train video
