I'm 60 years old. I've been attending church since 1-week old. I have learned more from your lectures and The Bible Project videos than I have in the past 60 years. My next time off of work, I plan to visit your church and see and hear you in person. Thanks Tim, John and team.
I only wish I could join this church! I’ve been searching and even trying to be part of a good bible based church! Totally failing! I’ve talked to 2 pastors for a couple hours at least twice. No one has invited me to ‘join’ their church. I know Covid is a big excuse why they can’t do gatherings and such....but it’s very disappointing. I want so bad to fellowship. I have little money, and have no car and just have been a pest I guess to be able to participate. I guess I’ll just study study study until someone with a car becomes un afraid of getting together enough so that I can be brought into the group. The church. The conversation. I’m asking Jesus.🙏🏻
Thank you. You're work has been so helpful to me. When I was coming to the Lord, as I began the trek, the Bible Project introduced me to the scripture and gave me context that I have never had. These teachings, on your page here, are helping me refine my understanding further. Thank you, again.
This is a page of his files not managed by Tim, as far as i understand, brother. Tim's work has had a similar effect on me. So grateful for all he shares.
Thank you for the blessing and kind words. I am not Tim. I am compiling all of this and hoping it turns out to be as helpful for others as it has been to me. More excellent teaching is coming. However, with Tim no longer being a pastor not as much material is being created as before. This is why you will see more podcast posts and guest speaking. Hope this place continues to be a helpful resource.
Joe R Yes! We waste so much of our time filling our minds with things that are not true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent or worthy of praise (Phil 4:8). These are the things that we should be thinking of instead of whatever is on Netflix!
Thank you, I have a better understanding of church now... The grace or gift that God gives us in to give to others. Your grace is grace to me. Hope I can pass on this grace to other . Peace
Thank you so much! Praise God for blessing you with the gift of orator and translated of His word. I’m currently learning how to follow His word. That includes church, fellowship, prayer and worship. Thanks again! You have been very helpful on this journey
Sad to to see so many sitting quietly. The teaching was solid. The Word of the Living God was being proclaimed. How do you sit as though you are listening to a gardening lecture? Only The Lord deserves our praise and worship!
Hi Tim, i belong to a church where we learn that Mathew 28 contains a structure of activities that entail a blue print if you will, as to how to becoming a disciple that actually is very clear. Preach the word, baptize in the name of father, son and Holy Spirit; teaching to obey the teaching of Jesus. Where baptism is not just a great idea that happens after we believe; more the core naction of conversion into a new life; acts 2 and Romans 6.and in obedience. That said I do enjoy your insights I find that emphasis in baptism is a conviction was set as an example is Jesus own life. (To start his ministry) John’s actions in announcing the kingdom was not only preaching but baptized those who repented. I would love your perspective on why on the more traditional churches seems like this is not taught with the emphasis and importance this act requires as we see all conversions in the NT involve baptism like ie. Paul’s dramatic conversion. Thoughts ? I want to learn…
Honestly, I don't want t to attend church anymore. The only thing that I'm really considering is just studying with a few friends throughout the week and listing to podcasts. I just don't like the showboating bands, perfectly timed out routines that the churches I have visited within my area do. It's just more so of a band playing while the bass drowns out others' voices (which then prompts those in the back to not sing along) and hardly ever actual studying of the Bible gets done except maybe two verses a sermon. I don't mean to complain, it's just that I've felt rather lonely in not being able to find a church that goes more in depth instead of just the repeat of studying acts, ephesians, philippians, and the handful of old testament people. I feel that everything is so watered down and spoon fed to the majority yet there's hardly ever anything available for those who are ready to take in solid food not just milk. I guess ill watch this series and maybe it'll show me something to not give up on going....
BigRed Nebraska94 Hey, maybe get in a small group at your local church? Like continue to go to church but also attend a small group like a bible study group during the week, if you don’t have one then start one and spread the word to people at your church so you guys can grow with each other while still attending church
If you decide to study by yourself outside of church, please do me a favor: read David Clarkson's sermon titled, “Public Worship to be Preferred before Private.” Kindly update us what you've learned. It can read/downloaded anywhere in the web.
The Catholic Mass includes a segment called Liturgy of the Word. At a minimum, 4 Biblical references are read aloud. Then the sermon (homily) reflects on the Bible verses. In a 3 year period, the Catholic Mass steps through the entire Bible, excluding lists of who begat who. Protestants like to crow that they are Bible based, but no Church service is based on more Scripture than the 2000 year old Catholic Mass and 2000 years of scholarship on the scripture.

You probably aren't the only one at your home church yearning for some fresh Biblical insights. What a blessing you can be to them! Blessings brother!
Most likely, as it appears, you grew in a non-Bible-oriented church.

The gospel is the answer to the human condition.. things happen, things click with people.
Tim does such a good a good job at making this message relevant and compelling.
I love the way Tim brings a message together. These videos have been a tremendous blessing. Thanks!
Recently I've been watching you preach the Gospel of Jesus and it makes me happy to hear the good news of the Kingdom of God

I sent a message to my prayer team suggesting it would be of benefit to all to instead of watching Netflix to watch these talks.

49:10 Jesus bought you Tim and the BibleProject to my radar
Become the disciple. Then do what God leads you to do.
Go down to the river to pray. Repenting
Come to the table leave dead altars behind

Is that a typo? Did you mean Door of Hope Church?
Did someone say Tim is no longer a pastor? What is he doing now?
Even if they don't know what the hell is going on !!!
