I did not think your final look was at all something that was only night time appropriate. I sometimes get the most compliments when I have a darker color on my lids - probably because I am very fair and the contrast works to bring out my eyes.
I agree about darker colors. Not too deep but deeper colors when put correctly all over the eyes (not a la Panda) they do make eyes bigger too because of that depth as opposed just to light colors on the eyes. I loooove smokey look, ugh its so sexy and pretty ! Also so many people on youtube dont get this : smokey is a technique of blending an eyeshadow in a certain way hence smoke(y) and any color can be blended in this smokey way even lighter or colorful shades. Its technique. Not description of colors.

I have a hard time creating a lighter look with my SG Enduring Love palette, but it's still one of my all time faves. I've been curious how the SG EL palette compares to the new ND palette... some of the shades look so similar (without a direct comparison). Could you compare them? This ABH palette is gorgeous on you though & I envy how well you pull together a beautiful eye look!!

return the palette for a new one, every time i "fix" one thinking it'll be okay, it's a mess :( I love the Nouveau) my Lily shade (beautiful shade) from first day had a problem but thought it would be okay. Getting worse & been a while as I bought it when it came out. Concerns me others had a problem. Absolutely Love it though, best palette in forever. I'm concerned Rose Metals is too dark/warm not sure what for me as I'm pale brick browns/reds don't look good on me. Just a matter of preference. Sometimes Nouveau is a bit light, perhaps they tried to adjust or just together they go well. I like Smokey but just too many for me. Thanks, you always give the best reviews. My deal breaker sometimes is if a palette doesn't have a shade like Paloma in the other palette because if I have to go to another palette for brow bone I use it less than say the ND Glam that I thought would be way too nude for me but I love. Also has a nice pale silver/green shade. The shade Electric in Subculture made me an Anastasia fan... true confessions. Thank U
I have threatened to buy this ABH pallet many times! It’s gorgeous!!!!! Allie Glines' video…. Oh my goodness, such a beautiful look! Best she’s ever looked! And yours, wow! Can’t go wrong with this pallet. Brilliant video idea with going from day to night look. Those shimmers are insane! UPDATE! I just received this pallet in the mail last night (I couldn't help myself) and immediately used it. Holy moly, this is my all time favorite pallet. It was my love at first sight pallet. The mattes are so smooth and blend like a dream. The shimmers are exactly what I've been looking for in shimmers. ABH nailed it. I will never get rid of it.

I never wear smoky eye looks. I look for palettes with a predominance of mid tone shades with a couple of deep tones and a couple of very light shades. I’ve bought beautiful palettes I end up not reaching for because the shades are too dark or bright for me. I actually now find myself quite often combining mini palettes so I can get shades that work for me. Your eye looks are always gorgeous!
Just for fun and play with makeup, it would be nice to see you challenge yourself to do a darker look using a darker shade on the mobile lid! Would be very pretty as well, I am sure of it!!

I think that Mandy has a good mix and that is one reason that I watch her. I don't usually buy expensive makeup and I believe she gets that in many of us. As part of her job she does need to "keep up" with new releases, etc. especially at this time of year.
I think maybe Mandy not only needs to keep up with what's new, but she's baiting gift givers who don't have a clue what to shop for for the upcoming holidays.
@jbbb7418 It's fine if such palettes aren't workable for you. Not everything will work for anyone, however not everyone is [whyte] either keep that in mind. Plenty of pastels or very light neutrals out there. But for some of us this palette might be a great hit. I don't like half light/half dark shades. I prefer only 1-2 pale shades and the rest mid and then 2-3 darker shades.
Not going to buy this palate - I’m not a berry red mid pink gal - but I LOVE LOVE watching you apply eyeshadows. Someday I’ll buy a palate (I’m not much of a makeup fan) and follow along :)

I’d have pair this palette with lighter shimmers and use dark shimmers outer corner of eye and lower lash line. For me it’s just makeup and it washes off. I’m going wear any color and depth or light whenever where ever. I’m hairstylist so that helps too. 💜🌈💜Being almost 62 I use dark shadows to get my cat eye. I can’t Dothan with liner anymore. I work in fluorescent lights that wash out makeup too.
Hmmm...I don't usually go dark, but this is a beautiful palette...may have to put in on my wish list and maybe I'll get gift cards for Christmas... Oh and I'm going to have to try that mascara because my lashes need all the help they can get to hold a curl!
The two new Anastasia palettes have really caught my attention. I hadn’t picked up an eyeshadow palette from Anastasia since Modern Renaissance in 2016, which was my first eyeshadow palette ever and I fell in love with makeup. After that I started exploring other brands and formulas and felt like I was in a rut with Anastasia. There is something that looks so special to me about their new palettes. The color stories, the textures, I am soooo intrigued 😭😍❤️ your looks are beautiful!
I typically like light shimmers. I rarely use dark shimmers. I like darker mattes and even more mid depth mattes and mid depth, light shimmers if that makes sense.
Please tell us if you find a Sydney Grace dupe for that pewter shade! That’s the one shade in this palette that’s really drawing me, and I don’t want to spend $55 for one shade.
What about using a light hand with the shades. Light on the brush. Will it still be dark Love the looks. I’m a mature 65 old old. I just don’t know if it will work for me. Like the last one.
I find that the new pallet works well with the nouveau pallet. The new pallet is on the dark side but the 2 together brings light beautiful eye looks. The new one alone is a little dark but add shades from other pallet and it brings light to the looks.
I personally like a more or less even spread in a palette too. Some lighter shades, some deeper, midtone shades, mattes and shimmers so that I have many options to create many looks with just one palette and have all I need and no too similar shadows (hello, Natasha Denona). And since rarely such a palette exists I definitely prefer to build my own one with the singles. Way better. 🥰

I'm pale, so I need light shades to transition or turn down when it gets too deep. But I can always get a shade, settingpowder, highlighter, blush or bronzer to help with that out of my stash if I need to make it daily soft instead of night smokey. So for me this would be a smokey or companion palette but if you are midtone or deeper in skintone the use will be different. I wonder only if it is enough for me to buy it. I like it as a twist/update on Modern Renaissance and Soft Glam. It gives me fomo because it is limited and maybe this is a gem like Sultry, even for me...

To me the palette presents as muddy and nothing unique. I'm interested in the Tower 28 mascara.
I have both the ABH Sultry and Nouveau palettes. With those palettes I think you can achieve many of the looks you’d get from Rose Metals.
That is made for blue eyes -;) gorgeous. Sigh. All my money goes to gas and groceries at the moment😭🤪👁️💘

Babbeauty nailed the type of look this palette gives and that is 'grungy'. It truly is stunning, but grungy she is.

I find that the new pallet works well with the nouveau pallet. The new pallet is on the dark side but the 2 together brings light beautiful eye looks. The new one alone is a little dark but add shades from other pallet and it brings light to the looks.
