    My car is doing the same thing but I dont believe my problem is that relay, I bought a new one and it did the same thing again, as soon as the engine heats up it does although I've gotta say i seen about 10 of these videos repairing with solder and this one was the best explaining the location and fix

      I'm glad you like the video.
      Do you have the check engine light on?

      @@Elnenezx12r02 off and on, when I unhook the battery to work on it that clears the light until trying it out again then upon idling itll die and the light stays on until unhooking the battery, but I'm thinking my issue is a combination of distributor cap/ rotor/ and control module, I took off the cap and the contacts were pretty corroded, with a half a teaspoon of oil in the cap, I'm thinking my control module is the culprit

    • @Elnenezx12r02
      @Elnenezx12r02  6 лет назад

      It could be your ignition cylinder
      If is not making a good contact inside the electrical components your car can just die.
      Try playing with the key while your trying to turn it on and if it does turn on then it could be that.
      Best of luck and keep me posted 😊

    How do you take out the whole relay to replace it with a new one?. Do I have to unscrew anything?

    • @Elnenezx12r02
      @Elnenezx12r02  6 лет назад

      SmokingLoud127 honestly I just yanked on it,the rear part of the relay breaks but no biggie if your replacing it, if not use a small fine flat head to remove it

    Soldering is terrible. your adding solder to the tool not the pad. Clean your tip with some wet sponge. Use flux. Good video. I have 99 EX too. My car is flaking out in the heat and turned off also. thanks.

    Hi,
    My 99 accord ex is doing this. What you did in the video, did it solve the problem?

    Hey sorry to bother you again, I replaced the main relay and I replaced the ignition switch. Now my car doesn’t even start at all. Can you think of anything that can cause this problem?

    • @Elnenezx12r02
      @Elnenezx12r02  6 лет назад

      SmokingLoud127 you replace the ignition switch with the key?

    • @Loud127
      @Loud127 6 лет назад +1

      Elnenezx12r02 I have the same key that I’ve always had. I replaced the main relay first. And then went to turn on my car and it wouldn’t turn on. Then I noticed I didn’t hookup the ground back on the battery. So I connected and tried to restart and nothing. So I then replaced the ignition switch and still no start for my car. Could I have tripped the anti theft by messing with the battery?

    • @Elnenezx12r02
      @Elnenezx12r02  6 лет назад

      SmokingLoud127 now with the ground connected still the same?

    • @Loud127
      @Loud127 6 лет назад

      Elnenezx12r02 yes still no start with ground connected. Do you know anything about the anti theft system?

    If you turn the key and nothing happens you say "It won't crank"
    If you turn the key and the starter motor spins you say "It cranks, but won't run"
    In this case, the engine will crank, but it won't run.

    Still idling high ... plus the main relay had time to cool down ... so maybe a computer issue
