Since my kids are grown now, as are my friend's kids...yes, I would also take them school supply shopping...getting new craft supplies is just as fabulous. I really like the blue card base, it’s just perfect with these. The sparkle embossing powder-WOW! Spectacular. You’re right about the bat stencil, it is perfect with these witches. Really fantastic cards, I love both of them.

Amy, I believe you love Halloween card designs because this holiday/event is all INCLUSIVE... because it can be cute and colorful or dark and scary. And since we all know your an Alley for inclusivity, of course this would be your creative jam...and I'm definitely here for it!!
maybe lol - tho some (and I was raised as one - but I don't think that way anymore) see it as a "satanic" holiday but I see it as a "neutral/non-denominational" holiday so yeah maybe that's why I like it so much. Everyone's included and I can do cutesy-to-gory and everything in between and it's all just for fun and just because ;) ;)

You crack me up! Can, or do you do anything with the small strips you cut off from the card base? They look like such a beautiful glittery goodies! I think I am seeing the mariners color, wow! I think you like the Halloween cards more because you allow your imagination free reign! Yeah.
I don't stress about the margins I trim off. I use up the majority of my scraps for die cutting etc and recycle (or use it as kindling in my fire pit lol) what I can because otherwise I'd have just too many pieces. But yeah there's definitely techniques out there to make backgrounds from strips and scraps it's just not my thing :)

Seriously, how do you make a mess look so gorgeous. I purchased a gelli pad and had a play and made a real mess. It looked a real mess . Do you use a gel pad.
Nuvo has black glitter embossing powder too. Annoying down side; why on earth do craft factories put that powder in those rotten tiny pots? Its cute and all that but VERY unpractical. I dont even know how many times I miss poured it in the jars prior to putting the entire damn thing in a container.
I've never had a problem getting the powder back in the container lol. Also the Nuvo is what I used but it's no longer sold at SSS so I linked and mentioned the alternative :)
