      Thanks Tony! Yes this home is absolutely amazing. If you are a Veteran the minimum down payment is 0%. Currently they have a loan program that allows a 1% downpayment but it depends on your credit score, income and other factors!

    The builder really squeezed that McMansion into such a small lot. How much space is there between the neighbor’s property line? 3.5% tax rate is dangerous to say the least

      There is probably 5-7ft of space between the home and the fence
      You can also pick an oversize lot
      I agree taxes in Houston / surrounding area is high… 3.15% for this neighborhood
      Mainly because when they build new communities they borrow a lot of money to build the water infrastructure, schools and etc

      @@The_Unparalleled_Team yep that’s right. I’ve learned my lesson this time around. Im sticking to property tax rates under 2.5% at all costs next time. Ideally under 2%. My property taxes this year were nearly 30k.

      Hi@@terraGaliciaXXIV the builder for this community is Tripointe homes. This community has only two builders (one is tripointe home and the other is tollbrothers) 30K in taxes sheesh. Your home must be nice haha. There are a few communities that have 2.5% tax rate (new construction) but they are a tad rare / farther from the city
      Don't forget to apply for homestead exemption it will save you on property taxes
