Loved JH. My Dad used to enthuse about him, the special trains, George Curtis and the unforgettable George Hudson. Tinged with sadness too when you reflect on Highfield Rd and the migraine situation today. My first Sky Blue team watched on a regular basis was the David Cross/Alan Green/Chris Cattlin era 75/76, still had the white walls and disabled cars in those days too and the good old terraced West End. Happier simpler times. Thanks for posting.

J H was an visonry & an innovator!! He was way ahead of his time!! The Sky Blues were so lucky to have him as their manager!! And he was a success too. Getting the club promoted to the promised land, Division One, in 1967. What a guy!! Rest in eternal peace Jimmy!!

J H often came across as a pompous 'know-it-all' but actually he was a great coach & visionary who knew a lot about the game he loved.

The club should never have left Highfield Road - that was when the rot really set in 😞

@@dentalsurgeon5591 Not quite. He worked on ITV sport for a few years first before going to MOTD in the early 1970's.
