Currently planning to open my VDO and potential full mouth rehab due to bruxism and GERD. My Prosthodontist used a Lucia jig, a leaf gauge, bimanual manipulation, and sent me home with a splint to wear for two weeks lol. He's going to do the wax-up this week. My mouth is similar to one of the cases you presented where the posterior teeth (especially mandibular posteriors) have been worn flat completely out of occlusion. I also have an edge-to-edge bite as well, which, with no posterior stops, has led to pretty rapid anterior attrition (even with an occlusal guard). I want to suggest posterior onlays to him - right now he's planning full coverage crowns but the onlays would be more conservative.
Dr Phelan, I have tried to find a video of the models being mounted into a Panadent articulator using the CR bite with the leaf gauge and using the Kois Facebow. I use the facial Analyser to mount the upper and I use the CR bite with the Leaf guage in place to mount the lower, but then once I remove the bite registration material, there is an open bite and I need to know where you set the vertical pin and then when I release the pin the models come together. So what position do I use for the wax up and where should the pin be set at for the wax up when increasing the VDO?
Maybe my questions is stupid,, but how does the patient eat while using Koise deprogrammer, especially when rising a VOD? Just swollowing mixed food? :)

You take it out just for eating
Love me some leaf Gauge!!!
Thanks
Do you think the Tekscan would help with he diagnosis
TEKscan on it's own does not take jaw position into account, only bite forces. First muscles involved must be relaxed to measure natural bite forces
