My friend who I met in college who's blind she taught me a little bit of The Nemesis code and I learned ueb math as well in my college Vision program at Kutztown University.
My cousin is NLP ( completely blind) and excelled in math. She's gone on to a career as a chartered accountant. I want to both say that technology has helped the blind and visually impaired immensely but...braille is still important. My cousin learned Braille and Nemeth Code and teaches it to her kids.
Thank you very much. I'm an instructional designer working on a math course, and this really helps me to empathize with the students and understand the processes and technolgies VI student use.
I’m visually impaired I Went to public school all through high school I HATED math with the ever living breath of me. Couldn’t see what teachers were doing up there and as for nemeth I thought it was just evil because like she said the Braille teacher could not teach me so I was just clueless. I graduated in 2016 with barely a C in math
I´m so sorry to hear that. I teach Maths and have a blind student. The least I want is for her hating this subject. I´m doing my best to help her. So if there´s anything you can think about on how to approach any topic please contact me.
nice video. I want to ask a question, when a VI person search for solution for any mathematical equation, in that condition teacher who is explaning the question, he sad that we put the X here. he is explaning for a sighted student with the help of hand waving or text. how can a blind student gain where he is pointing x.please suggest me any link, RUclips channel and app which is accessible for Blind users. for maths solution. thanks sir
I´m a Maths teacher in Uruguay (I teach in English preparing students for IGCSE Cambrigde exam). I have a blind student this year. What I do for her is this: I make little pieces of eva rubber with numbers and letters printed on cardboard pasted to them (Braille, of course). So anything I write on whiteboard she has it on her desk. So when I say THIS, I walk to her desk and put her hand on that number or letter I'm talking about.

Amazing video. I use this for many others ways
I’d like her to teach Geology where I attend college.
