Wonderfully charming and terribly funny! Especially great to catch a 'Dad' moment at the end : ) Yannick breathes real life into the superbly written Murdoch.
Well young lady, it sounds like you have a healthy, well rounded dad. I'm really happy for you and so very glad that he is a good dad and faithful husband. The world needs more people like Yannick Bisson
That was soooo cute! Adorable dad, adorable daughter! Thank you for sharing with us all about your dad. I love MM and I think he would make a great James Bond!
Mickaela Thank you for your generous sharing, how fun to learn more about the private side of your dad. I do follow him on Twitter because I like his values is life and his dedication to his loved ones. A good man inside out that makes me smile, learn about new things & yes even cry now and then. So thank you to both of you!!
Btw I see nothing wrong with your dad finding favorite clothes and wear them all the time, I find it scharming, and I belive we ladies does it to, our favorite jeans, favoritt handbag etc lol so just keep it up Mr. B.
You girl are a natural !!! This was quite funny. Although I love your dad's acting, I think it would be fun to hear the things we don't know about your mom and them as a couple !!! We all know that every good man has a woman next to him, God bless your dad he has 4 !!!!

That was an awesome video ... thanks for sharing 15 things + 2 that you didn't know about your Dad ... no matter what we do in life ... we're all human and we all have our differences ... that was great to have him in the video at the last there ... we really enjoyed having the Murdoch Mysteries cast and crew (although your Dad wasn't present) in St. Marys, Ontario to do some filming ... love the show and much success in the future ... really enjoyed the episode with you Mikaela in the show.
Murdoch is such a great show, mystery, humor, tragedy - evoking laughter and tears and anticipation for more. Mr. Bison’s goodness shines through the Murdoch character. Thanks for the lovely video young lady. Your sweet, sincere, and funny recollections of Dad reinforces my admiration for him. Thanks so much. The next time you come to Wyoming to ski, stop by for a cuppa. There’s only about fifty of us in the state, easy to find us. 🙏🏽
I love, love, love The Murdoch Mysteries. I wish they would play them in the States. I've found them on Netflix, Hulu and You Tube. Can't get enough of them. Young Lady, you are so poised, lovely and peaches and cream sweet! I'm sure your Dad and Mom are very proud of you! And, it's even more so in today's world that you can be very, very proud of your parents, who have taught you to live a happy, wholesome life. Hmmm... can't picture him in red hair though.... interesting. Thank you so much for sharing. Well Done. xo
I love Murdoch mysteries so much, im rewatching it something like the 4th time around just waiting for another season, thanks for working so hard guys!
Thankyou Mickaela. That was so great and yes I love your Dad. I'm a big fan. The one reason I like your Dad is because of his family values. I do follow him on Twitter and I love his dedication to his family. He is a good man inside and out., he makes me smile and also at times he can make me cry. He is a great actor. And I loved learning more about his family life and the one he loves the most.
Omg you are the sweetest thing ever! I just a started marathon watching Murdoch mysteries and just love him in this show! I love seeing this tiny sneak peek into actors lives! U guys seem like such a well balanced and normal family... Thank you for sharing this! God bless your family and have a merry Christmas
have been a fan of Yannick Bisson since Hockey Nights my grandparents are from Nova Scotia so i love that he is Canadian also a fan of Megan Follows and Ian Tracey . Love his work .
My love of Canada began with Hockey Night. But I wanted to ask you, why haven't we seen Yannick and Megan work together as adults? I don't know the hierarchy of the Canadian film and TV industry. Does that seem like a viable thing, like I should be surprised that they haven't? Or are shaking your head, like, never gonna happen? Seriously, they had good chemistry at 15. It's gotta still be there. Someone make that happen!
Your dad ia one of the best actors on tv i just recently discovered his shows during lockdown in scotland when i had plenty of time on my hands, love his shows xx
You have such a sparkling personality. Life, growing up in your household must have been fun. I like the fact that when Strombo asked what your dad wanted his girls to see in their lifetime..... He said he wanted you all to find true love with a partner like he has. That kind of says it all. Your parents could have made many choices in their early years. They apparently made wise choices and stuck with them. They seem to be each other's best friend. You have such a wonderful example to follow for your life. I look forward to what you and your sisters achieve and experience in your lifetimes. You are wonderful and very lucky girls !
Obviously I am a fan of YB. BUT, when you see true life intervene and push the movie star out of the story...you see two people who truly love each other. I cannot tell you how many photos, videos, or interviews I have seen where you catch YB looking at Shantelle, or her looking at him...neither of them are good enough actors to fake the love that is there. In everyday life, let alone "movieland", it is so very rare to see the love, partnership, respect, and friendship there. They could both not pass on anything in the whole world, that would be more important to those girls than the example in life lessons that they are living. That is how you truly give your children the "wings to fly". I am a 65 year young woman who can see and appreciate those things that I never had in my life. Those girls will be a success and most of all be happy because their parents taught them how to be. And thank you for your earlier kind response.
Hi Susan. I will be sure to show your letter to Shantelle, Yannick and the girls. Shantelle is my daughter and life has not been "easy" for her, Yannick and the girls always. They have been together since 1988 when they were both so very young. They honestly know what struggle, hardship and fighting for a better life for their girls and family is. I feel all those obstacles and hardships they lived through as a family is what helps them to stay focused and in love with each other for so many years. We are all so very thankful for Murdoch which has made life for them so much better and this is all possible because of wonderful people like you who support Murdoch and Yannick. Thank you again Susan from a grateful mom and Nana who is 63 years young. :-)
Hi again. You must have done a lot of things right, to raise such an obviously intelligent, strong, and independent daughter. I would make a guess that because of her upbringing, she is better able to cope with all the obstacles that life throws at her. You know that she will pass all of that insight on to her girls too. I would imagine that her ability to keep things together for their home and the girls, allows Yannick to be the success that he is. It is hard though, isn't it...to see your child have hardships, or tough times. It must be that "Mom thing" that makes us want to protect them, no matter how old they are. What does it feel like to see your daughter and her husband on TV...a little surreal maybe? At least it allows you to see them, even when they can't be at your home in person ! Enjoy those beautiful and articulate grand daughters (who really resemble their mom in looks). You are one lucky mom and Nana, and I am so happy for you :-)
What beautiful words from both of you - brought tears to my eyes. I have been a fan of Yannick's since I first saw him in High Tide with Rick Springfield. One reason I am a fan is the strong family connection he has. You can see the love he and Shantelle have for each other. I have heard him mention many times of his love for her and it is so apparent. And the same with their girls. They are obviously a very close family and it shows. They have had tough times but what they have now is very special. I will always be a fan and can't wait until Season 8 becomes available here in the US!
My goodness they did a great job making babies....his daughter is beautiful :) Great insight into Yannick; it's fun to learn about the more private side of your favourite actors :)
read his bio on wiki, mostly a TV actor, surprised with his good looks and smart talent hasn't been in any movies, I'm in NJ, enjoy the MM series very much..
Thanks so much for giving us all this info on your dad, I have been a great fan of his since seeing him on "Sue Thomas FBI", was so sorry when that went off the air, so was thrilled when he became Murdoch, I have watched from the beginning and hope it goes on for many more seasons,
I love Murdoch Mysteries! Long live Murdoch Mysteries! Of course I love your daddy! Yannick is a Good Guy!Im so happy he has such a beautiful family!❤️
Thank you for those fun facts about your dad Mikaela. I can’t believe how much your dad and I have in common from siblings and Batman to not sitting in a movie theatre when there’s sun outside to be enjoyed, but last but not least, everyone tries and tries to get me into country music and to each their own but as soon as I hear anything country I cringe and it makes my skin crawl.Oh! And I’m laughing whilst writing this, but I too get stuck with certain clothes (uniform) if you will and I honestly can’t help it and I really don’t like anyone buying me clothes.
I just started watching MM & then our tv died. Now have to watch it on ovation tv, but they only have seasons 11-13 on there right now. Would be nice to see it from the very beginning.
This was so cute! I recently discovered Murdoch Mysteries and I'm binge watching it and will be heartbroken when I'm done with Season 13. It is not only interesting, but it cracks me up. Here is this guy, William Murdoch who is so super handsome yet straight-laced and completely nerdy. The conversations between Murdoch and Crabtree make me laugh the most, because I can totally picture the outtakes and wonder how they can keep a straight face. I love all the characters! The show is such a wonderful escape back in time that is so refreshing in the current world climate. Now that I know Yannick is a fan of Game of Thrones (my husband is, I'm not) maybe I can get my husband to watch this with me. Laughing that your dad did not know who Luke Bryan is. I got to interview him on his bus several years ago, but I let my daughter have my Meet-and-Greet pass. I knew she'd get a much bigger kick out of having a photo with him.
Haha! This was great! I’m from NJ and just discovered Murdoch on Hulu and am hooked! On season 6 now. Yannick rocks! If he’s ever in the NY/NJ area you tell him there’s a burrito 🌯 waiting for him in NJ! 👍🏼 😎
Murdoch Mysteries were televised on Ion at one point, but now I can't find all of the years it's been on. I've watched Sue Thomas FBEye, on RUclips and was surprised he had the male lead in those shows. He was great in those too.
I really like this information about your dad I lived with 3 women my self and can relate also now with just 2 my oldest daughter got married and you remind me of my youngest daughter keep up the good work
Well presented, Mikaela. You seemed quite comfortable and natural in front of the camera. I started listening to country when I decided to learn to play a guitar. After a while I found myself listening more to traditional country than most of the new country that some people refer to as "pop country". I also discovered music by Ricky Skaggs and that has led me down the rabbit hole in to Bluegrass. Try Yannick with some traditional country by people like Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Bill Anderson, Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Lorretta Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, and so many others. You'll notice the difference in their music to that of people like Luke Bryan.
I first watched Yannick on Sue Thomas, FBI in 2002. I only knew him as Jack. Most recently, he showed up on Hallmark Mysteries. Then he was gone! Hurrah! I found him again on Murdoch. Constable Crabtree is a hoot! (TX talk)
I enjoy the Murdoch Mysteries after watching Miss Fisher. I got another lady doc post mortem to go "yay women!" and I get to see Detective Murdoch invent fantastical futuristic HG Wells type things. We are only on Series 3 now. Yay...we have a while to go yet before burning through them. Glad to see your dad acts like a normal man and wears the same thing over and over again since as Det. Murdoch he dressers so snazzy! I am hoping for more James Bond type episodes. I just watched the one where he loses his memory and ends up in London being called Harry. Hoping for more superhero stuff. Would like to see Doctor Odgden kick some @$$ like Phyrne Fisher, lady detective, but you can not have everything. Enjoyed this presentation! Well spoken young lady. Badly dressed dad (heheh).
Thank you very much Mikaela for sharing your family with us. Your Dad should definitely play the part of James Bond. A few times. He certainly has the looks and apparently the physical strength according to his hobbies. James Bond is a great idea!! YES!! I love his show. I love how his character is very clever and has a sort of eccentricity, making him have some sort of innocence about him. Definitely not related to the last part of that comment, I think he's possibly the prettiest, most handsome man. lol You can only do so much with makeup. You have to have it without the makeup too. lol I LOVE his name. I'm glad he didn't change it like many celebrities do. It's always fun for some fans to hear how normal their favorite celebrities are. Some celebrities are most famous for being abnormal. lol I just thought about how funny it must be for you guys with his love scenes. I can imagine something like that in our family. lol Gross, funny then gross again. lol I've blabbed enough. Thanks again!
Great insight into Yannick. Sometimes we forget that actors are people too and have a family. I remember seeing your dad on the set of Sue Thomas when they were filming an episode of the show down the street from me. The set was not closed to the public and I walked right behind him while he was reading the script. I was not a big fan of that show. I do love Murdoch though. I did not bother him or the rest of the crew while they were filming. Now if I had known at the time he had 4 lovely daughters, well maybe I would have introduced myself. lol Hope you can provide more tidbits on your dad that won't upset him.
Well,, we love him ! love the show, ran out of episodes on Netflix. We are Musicians, and I can't wait to get home from a show, to see the next episode lol ! no matter how tired or late we get in, we watch at least one! We meaning my husband and myself. I lived in Buffalo, and did many shows and concerts in Canada, beautiful country. !!! Oh my the last episode, Julia left to go to Buffalo !!! what happens now ????? we need to know lol !!
Murdoch is the best Canadian show! Look forward to it every fall. Murdoch and the Canucks are my winter entertainment!
I love all of u the stories the acting etc is perfect just fabulous thank u🙏😘
I just recently found Murdock since iOIN has been showing it. Outdoor love to start watching it from the beginning!
I also like Death in Paradise.

Your father would make an awesome James Bond.
Agreed!
Totally agree 👍
TRUE!!!
What an interesting choice for Bond. I'd go see that. He may be Murdoch now but I remember him as Joey.
What an interesting take I think I’d be quite curious to see that.
This is really cute. Though I really wish we could have seen a picture of Yannick with red hair!
I am so impressed at how well Yannick's 17 year old daughter expresses herself. Good job !
Love Murdoch! Great, wholesome show. Cool watching the science weaved into the storylines.
Thank you for sharing. I love his acting skills. Murdoch Mysteries is one of my favorite shows. Please thank your dad for his skills. 🤗
That was easily the most charming thing I've seen all week.

Also now on Ovation
Also on ION Plus, Saturday and Sunday.
Saw him on 2 seasons of Aurora Teagarden, Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. So good!
In New York, WABC Channel 7 sneaks one in every Sunday night/Monday morning at 2 am. After back-to-back episodes of “Castle.” Canadian night.
We streamed all of the seasons on Prime/Acorn in the US
I just love this it helps fans realize he is not a character in a TV show. It's makes him human, a person not a character. Thanks for posting this ❤
I love Murdoch mysteries so much, im rewatching it something like the 4th time around just waiting for another season, thanks for working so hard guys!

I love all the characters in Murdock! Really love the interacting between Murdock and Julia!
Thank you so much! There is a great deal of goodness in your family that is a credit to your parents. Amazing!
Haha! This was great! I’m from NJ and just discovered Murdoch on Hulu and am hooked! On season 6 now. Yannick rocks! If he’s ever in the NY/NJ area you tell him there’s a burrito 🌯 waiting for him in NJ! 👍🏼 😎
Love watching him in Auora Teagarden Mysteries and I'm so disappointed that he was replaced.
He must be proud to have such a sweet girl for a daughter!
Murdoch is my #1 Canadian show, even over hockey night in Canada. I'm shocked at the country music thingy though. Lol
Murdoch Mysteries were televised on Ion at one point, but now I can't find all of the years it's been on. I've watched Sue Thomas FBEye, on RUclips and was surprised he had the male lead in those shows. He was great in those too.
Let me tell you something:
Every man wants to be James Bond.
and many women want to be... I guess *Janet* Bond... as well!

Nope, like I never wanted it.
Thank you for that video great job
That was awesome! I met your family when I visited my family in NZ from LA! Many moons ago! 1994/95?Sweet people!
Enjoyed the video, fun to watch especially at the end lol
That's awesome! Fun facts. He seems like such a down to earth guy to begin with, but learning those facts just makes him seem more so!
Really like the Murdock Mysteries!!
I really like this information about your dad I lived with 3 women my self and can relate also now with just 2 my oldest daughter got married and you remind me of my youngest daughter keep up the good work
Love Murdock ! I binged watched it on Hulu. However, I've finished the first 10 seasons that were on it..I hope they put the other seasons on Hulu.
I love Murdoch Mysteries and you are such a charming woman! You seem like a nice family :) Thanks!
Wonderful just wonderful A good wholesome family man. Love it.
Van Halen! man, can this guy get any more awesome!
Have alwlays enjoyed MM. Would love to see Yannick in more shows.
Love watching yannick in Murdoch. Live Murdoch mysteries and can't wait for next month when season 8 should be on in the UK
That was really adorable!
I first watched Yannick on Sue Thomas, FBI in 2002. I only knew him as Jack. Most recently, he showed up on Hallmark Mysteries. Then he was gone! Hurrah! I found him again on Murdoch. Constable Crabtree is a hoot! (TX talk)
he was at his very best in sue thomas f.b eye
Yes, he was...;loved that show, and now watch the reruns. Wish Sue & Jack would've gotten together at the end.
Great stuff, I'm a big Murdock fan,you were fun to see in the EP. I hope to see you again your a natural 😀.
I first saw him on Sue Thomas and love that show. I still watch reruns.
you are adorable and thanks for all these lovely details..all are good to know :-)
That was great! What a sweetie she is..
So excited that season 14 is coming in 2021🥰
Yannick is a tremendous actor!!
Mikaela~~you are just as cute as you can be! How wonderful to hear about a nice, normal family!
Cute. Really like Murdock Mysteries. Thank you.
I really enjoyed everything you said. The end was very funny
Thank you sweetie. beatiful family.
it's hilarious how much of a DAD this guy is lol and everyone looks at him like he's a famous actor, he's a just a regular dad!
