Reminds me of when I grew my first Echinodorus, E. magdalensis, in a perspex Bermuda tank. The plant filled the tank with leaves and sent up a flower stalk over two feet tall! Love seeing them grow like that.
From the information I've been hearing the sword plants (Echinodorus species) in the wild are actually emersed bog plants not usually found submerged. Is this true?

very late reply but its true. we have them growing wild in swamps not submerged. great plants if you are making paludariums.
