  • Last week I went out to set up a biotope display for Tropica Aquarium Plants at their facility near Aarhus in Denmark. I was there with my friend George Farmer and between all the work, we managed to find time to walk around the greenhouses and look at some of the wonderful plants being grown by Tropica!

Reminds me of when I grew my first Echinodorus, E. magdalensis, in a perspex Bermuda tank. The plant filled the tank with leaves and sent up a flower stalk over two feet tall! Love seeing them grow like that.

What is the level of humidity that allows the plant to survive?

From the information I've been hearing the sword plants (Echinodorus species) in the wild are actually emersed bog plants not usually found submerged. Is this true?

very late reply but its true. we have them growing wild in swamps not submerged. great plants if you are making paludariums.
