Snap dont forget that you have the option to get the senechal to help with control growth and having a court tutor REALLY helps your childs education
Also i think you might have forgotten that you could have tried to marry one of your courtiers to someone with high stewardship to become a tax collector
Court positions are things that many people look past even though they are really useful even more so since most of the court positions may be occupied between males and females
Another thing i noticed is that when you are not increasing control you let your marshal in "organise army" however i think that putting him in "train commanders" is a much better choice since it not only improves your knights, give them traits and can offer you new ones but it also increases the overall stats of all your troops
I don't know why, but I did the playthrough marked easy on the DLC? The guy bishop dude's learning was 3, and my realm only had 10. So, I tried to do what I always do and marry someone off to get someone of higher value. I found 20, 19, and 18 level. Oddly, the warning that this person won't be of your house or dynasty would appear matrilineal or not. So, I just kept sending people away from my court, despite selecting matrilineal. I don't know if it was a bug, or if something is set up causing that in the area. This was literally at the start of the game.

One tip if you don’t already know…. There is 3 circles beside your regency, and if you choose the bottom one it focuses on your authority more so it’s harder for your regency to get to level 6. I didn’t know about this for some time and I would always struggle with it… hope this helps
I haven't seen anyone do anything cool with the regency. I just completely ignore it. I'd like to learn how to benefit from it. But does it just seem irrelevant? Has it ever been a threat to anyone?
@@ItIsYouAreNotYour I don’t even think it’s a positive thing because I’d rather control my empire or kingdom myself…. Unless I’m brain dead or whatever that perk is called. Also, it’s been a threat to me as I was low on everything needed to sway the regent away from high level authority. Best option is to keep it on the bottom circle to increase ur authority and soon get rid of your regent altogether
Oh really! I had no idea about that so form now all il l always make sure to use authority it as nightmare getting stuck with a regent haha

It was painful seeing how quickly you did Iberia. I did a catholic 867 Spain game and after consolidating thrones I had 40 counties in my primary kingdom and it was constantly expanding.
The claims was thank to your grandfather on your mothers side being a deceased Abbasid caliph. Happens a lot to me, when i marry a princess of a kingdom or empire than my heirs usually have a claim.

Iberian struggle it’s a perfect mechanic for the free holds in agot and the one from the Persian is perfect for the second kingdom. Hopefully, they had the struggles with the legacy trees pretty soon.

I think they made it so you can start a Jihad if you control the Caliph in a previous patch.
I'm pretty sure getting a vizier gives you extra tax collectors so you can don't have to be so decentralized as you grow. but there's no ui for the vizier, you just have to first assign one of your courtiers as it.

You really missed an opportunity to make a title called “Stop Struggling!”
The only criticism I would give paradox is they need to tone down the random early deaths and getting murdered and claim throne scheme. Other then that the game is awesome. Hopefully they can bring the chances of those other things.
Next on paradox the Holy Roman Empire struggle or the middle kingdoms struggle the reason is because the Holy Roman Empire was a mess to begin with but also the crusades and making the Latin empire or even Jerusalem/papacy would be epic

I just did this starting as Al Andalus for the revenge of the Umayyad achievement, still went for the intermezzo first though, doing Iberia before intermezzo ends sounds impossible
Yeah I think you would have so try finish up with Iberia stupidly fast
If you start as 867 Umayyads, you just need to flip to Andalusian and Muwaladi, and convert a few of the Northern provinces of Andalusia away from Mozarabic* to your religion and boom, instant Conquest Ending.

Imo the infirm and other death chances are WAY to high. It kinda ruins the gameplay for how often it happens. Maybe if it happens once every 5 generations but I swear it's every other

Yeah, AI England getting involved in a crusade is a bit odd, I've only ever seen them involved when the player is in Britannia themselves.

The Caliphate is tied to the Arabian Empire, which is the title you took over.
The titles being tied together means you also seized the head of faith for Ashari, since you took over as Caliph-- which means since the Christians have Crusaded, you can now declare Jihads.
I thought he wasn't the head of faith though? Which is why he asked it, no?

It’s cheesy but you can Educate a child then remove the guardian to get negative house unity. Just keep repeating.

You don't have to play the game like that. Most youtubers tend to do it though. Which I don't like, because it's overly done, exploitable, and sort of boring, but in this case, he's trying to accomplish both struggles. So it's required.
What, no. Now, there are tours, competitions and expanding travel rules. It's just this challenge involved a lot of contests.
The DLC's really improve the game, but the base game is still great, no clue what you are talking about
