If it wasn’t for their dedication we wouldn’t have any of these recordings. People might not realize the effort and expense it took. No phones back then. People actually smuggled gear into shows; decks, microphones, stands, cables, etc. often it took a crew or people sneaking in one piece and gathering inside. It was quite a challenge.

Great performances all around, Nobody quite as expressive and genuine as BOB yet still always UPLIFTING, even when his bluesy CONCRETE JUNGLE comes on, he has a hopeful way of exposing the urban rut. I am from deep city Newark, then the East Everglades, so it has been a mixed bag, as I am a wanderer. Jamaica and also Ghana were two of my favorite places to listen, to perform and ya' know -just to meet people. I am of the tribes, a halfbreed, that and Gypsy, so I fell right in with the 24-7 crowd and then in Ghana, the Ashanti gained my full loyalty. Love this world, the people in it, the nature -the jungles all over I have trekked... and yes, we do have some bad players. Not a challenge for one such as I. Yet it is faith and hope of humankind I find within the ways of the tribes, including my own, the vastly unknown Weamaconk. To have our culture and still get along in the colonial world is a balancing act- then again, are we not as a planet, quite the circus surrreale? Best regards... ~RaVen~

My brother gave me a cassette copy of an audience recording of this show. Junior Marvin is a monster guitar player who definitely does not get the respect he deserves. the last couple of tours for Survival and Uprising, especially the latter, were notable for both their intensity and Bob's deteriorating condition. This music never gets old.
I own this DVD and it is one of my priced possessions! One of the best live Marley shows with amazing sound. Been to the Bowl a few times...truly an outdoor music masterpiece!!
I saw Bob Marley the night before this -at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion in LA. They were on fire-I think this concert they were a little tired from the night before ,it kind of shows. Still a great show though thanks for sharing this !.

Great concert! I love their "I Shot the Sheriff" so much better than Eric Clapton's. Whole concert is such good vibes, I feel better from the opening chords! I was about 15 years old when they gave this tasty jam and living in Miami Florida. Wonderful times!

My brother gave me a cassette copy of an audience recording of this show. Junior Marvin is a monster guitar player who definitely does not get the respect he deserves. the last couple of tours for Survival and Uprising, especially the latter, were notable for both their intensity and Bob's deteriorating condition. This music never gets old.

I saw Bob Marley the night before this -at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion in LA. They were on fire-I think this concert they were a little tired from the night before ,it kind of shows.

Great concert! I love their "I Shot the Sheriff" so much better than Eric Clapton's. Whole concert is such good vibes, I feel better from the opening chords! I was about 15 years old when they gave this tasty jam and living in Miami Florida. Wonderful times!
