I grew up listening to Shalamar (through all the different changes in group members over the years). Watching this clip, I was blown away by Gerald Brown. I would have given him a pass if he was a little rusty or didn't do something perfectly, but this wasn't the case at all. He came on stage and effortlessly performed a song that he recorded 35 YEARS AGO...and he did it like it was nothing. I hope these two go on tour together and do more shows.

At the time, I worked in Nightclubs as a DJ, (next to, the Dutch Government) for Shalamar was allways part of it ! To my view the first line up of Shalamar, was the very best ...The falset voice of Howard was nice, but not if continuously.... (As special effect, more phrased would have been better.) Gerald however, is still damn good....Warm voice, and a showman ! I'm very glad, Jody invited him again to join in..(Even on, the new "Paradise".) With Jeffrey along too, it would have been completed again ! Jody is still very sexy,(great singer) but it's a pity she never married a Dutchman? (lol) I made a joke (FB) about her drummer, (as I was one myself, and teaching it for many years at the School for Arts) now she's angry with me?(Probably.) ...Ah well..Women ? An offer was made for an album project. Howard's management ( Mike Gardner ) and Howard's enormous ego broke negotiations by demanding a lion's share of the dollars.
