johnny gaudreau had to demand Louis Gross to take the deal Calgary. There's been multiple people saying Gross is all about the money not about the player.

After hearing the Gaudreau story and Neelander it makes sense Gross probally never brought the deal to Swayman. If it's going to get done it will this week now. If not, he goes elsewhere. That's my take.

Reality for Swayman if the Bruins want to play hardball. Nov 28th Bruins offer 6 million for one year. Swayman declines has to sit for the year. Next June Bruins tender qualifying offer Swayman declines. Nov 28th Bruins offer 1 year 5 million. Swayman holds out. The next season is a lock out. Swayman at that point is a distressed asset having not played an NHL game for over 2.5 years would be lucky to get a one year at million deal to prove he can still play. Tell me again about how much leverage Swayman has, in the meanwhile Bruins have sold out e very game and still made the playoffs.....

Only problem is, GM's in the NHL are nuts and when it comes to a top notch goaltender, I guarantee several GM's will line up with trade offers that the Bruins simply cannot ignore. We have a salary cap because the GM's have no self control, they hand out millions all the time and the NHL had to step in lol. He is a very valuable organizational asset at this moment but that has a shelf life, especially if they diss him so better to get the best you can now if you won't sign him. Personally, I'd sign him, they are not far apart, someones ego (Cam) seems to be getting in the way.

Its ironic they have Raycroft on the show when he’s a prime example of a former Bruins goalie who had an incredibly small sample size of sustained success only to fade into little more than a backup at best. This is why those who balk at the idea of Swayman getting 8x8 or the absurd north of 10 million rumors are concerned with these numbers. It’s risky to pay a guy this kind of dough when he’s never played the volume required of a starter and who has only played just north of a 130 games in his career. No way is he worth that kind of money at this time with that resume. Need to see more from him at the helm before that makes sense.

everybody needs to keep in mind that the bruins are the fifth best moneymaking hockey team in the 32 team NHL, but they are # 26 in paying player salaries, down at the bottom of the league with small market cities and crappy teams like columbus and anaheim. the jacobs family has always been about bleeding the fans and low balling players. for years, they used to run out of town anybody who would take on the team rep job for the player's association. who remembers the season way back in the harry sinden era when the team finished dead last in the entire league standings, but they had the entire league's highest ticket prices ? so, after such a disaster of a season, of course, the jacobs family would do the right thing and make beer free for the next season, or at least give everyone a free hot dog. right ? well, the jacobs family raised the ticket prices again. don't let these guys fool you, Bs fans ! the chances of this organization winning a cup are still pretty slim, when you won't pay your players commensurate with the league standard. if you make nearly the most, you should pay out nearly the most, NOT THE LEAST. good business, bad sports team ownership for fans.

BTW, if the Bs go with bussi and korpisalo they will finish in the cellar. they will lose 57 games by a 3-1 score.
