To one who was deeply touched by ET and Star Wars' first trilogy as a child, this is a great video! Thank you! By the way, what music is used as soundtrack? Beautiful!
My Fan Theory Earth is set in a galaxy far far away from the Star Wars Galaxy. Many years after the Skywalker Saga, the Whills (Force Entities) traveled to Earth and secretly crafted and put the stories of Star Wars on the bookshelves in the libraries of Earth. As part of the Asogian race, E.T. recognizes the Yoda costume as E.T. knows of the famous Jedi Master Yoda and how Yoda's race belongs to the galaxy E.T. inhabits. George Lucas said the Whills wrote the Skywalker Saga and shared the story with beings in a Galaxy Far Far Away (Earth?).
I do believe that as years and years passed, people most likely migrated to Earth. In Marvel What if Episode 2, you can even see Some X-Wing on the collectors. This also means that E.T is MCU canon, anyways what does this have to do with the theory well I know the kid in the thumbnail is wearing a Yoda mask, and several Star Wars Easter eggs were in Avengers like Legos or Empire Strikes back was mentioned, it does cause me to believe that as years and years passed…..Everything we saw in the Star Wars began to fade. The Galaxy from Far Far Away itself. It began getting brushed off, Everything we saw in the Star Wars movies (The Yoda Nod in E.T for example) it got discarded as just a…..it became discarded, people started believing it as nothing more than just myths and folklores. I hope didn’t offend you i just hope to express my thoughts and answers as to the theory and why the kid on the thumbnail was wearing a Yoda mask.
there are other more blatant ripoffs from star wars. the main ET theme is just 2 notes different from the main star wars theme. also, the bad guys have a theme also only 2 notes different from the Imperial March (dum dum dum dum dedum dum dedum). Also, when the spooky cia guys show up, they are using darth vadar's diving rebreather. the music is so jarringly familiar that it just ruins it. let's also throw some more lazy annoyances in: constant product plugs. face wash, deoderant, candy, soda, constantly messaging kids and moms to beg/buy shit from the store. there was almost no dialogue that wasn't gross, weird, or screamed
I was just watching this movie and noticed the Star Wars theme plays in the scene where ET appears to use the force to levitate the little planets.
Great catch! Love these little in-jokes that films sometimes include.
Also, both films feature the voice of Pat Welsh- who voiced E.T. and Boussh (the bounty hunter that Leia disguises as)!
Great trivia!

Star Wars is based on a true story and George Lucas is a surviving clone

This is confusing. So Star Wars is a true story in ET?
Yes - ET recognises Yoda and says "home home", meaning he's seen Yoda's species before on his home planet or on his travels. Great, isn't it?
Because ET and planet earth exist in star wars universe. what if the galactic empire discover planet earth
