Very informative video, thank you! I feel like the even bigger problem is engagement optimized matchmaking, which literally manipulates your gameplay experience so that after a couple of decent rounds you´re basically guaranteed a loss.. glad I got myself two dummy accounts for lobby searching :D
I dunno what to do, I bought an XR00 right before you released the Netduma R2, now I'm stuck on the old Dumaos aftrer spending hundreds. Dumaos 3,0 is still in beta after a year, wtf
Thx bro, good informative vid. However what you refer to is strict SBMM with the conclusion 4:23 “and this is why a fair and balanced experience is the main goal when it comes to matchmaking”. SBMM is only fair if open elo is provided so you know your opponents. With closed elo (like in COD) its manipulation of your gaming experience, striving for a 1:1 k/d balance - a few good games is balanced with a bew bad. Also the latest SBMM will give you higher ping when in the upper skill brackets. If you insist on closest servers with sub 30 ping, you will simply not get connected . Search will time out. Your video is excellent in describing the mechanisms of current SBMM matchmaking, but please refrain from calling it “fair”.
Probably I am too late for this, but how Netduma helps with regards to crossplay functionality? Taking Warzone as example, I play in a PS5 and I feel that with crossplay on, I kinda get "lower" KD lobbies, but in the end I'm in a disadvantadge against PC players (FPS, FOV, etc...), but with crossplay off, I rarely get good ping lobbies, always above 90ms ping! Btw I live in Nothern Europe...
I must admit, this is a very enlightening video and I can't thank you enough for sharing with us but there are a few things bothering me. First and foremost, I rarely connect to anyone across the continent (let alone in other continents) with or without Netduma. Second, matching algorithm putting same skill players in the same lobby, is something Netduma has no control over. Third, waiting time is relatively low when the players pool is so huge. So... My question is this: How a 200+ euros router justifies this price tag?
Hi,I play Apex and when i use the geo filter (UK) i will get 'error code leaf' after pretty much every game as it tries to connect to USA servers inbetween games and this causes the error. If i disable or include USA in the geo i do not get the error.I have tried 'allowing' the servers but there are so many it still happens.I get much better connection but at the cost of being kicked and sometimes having to restart the game.Do you know of a fix for this ?
I play fortnite in na west, and I have been waiting on lobbies for 1 straight hour several times and even in that time it doesn’t find any lobbie , is this a problem with my rx1000 setup or its fortnite , because if I change to na east it finds matches in about 5 mins , I’m on Xbox , hope someone can help
Happens to me also.the geofilter will work for a few games, but then it will keep blocking outside the filtered zone and never find a match.same boat as you,I want to connect to the west but it keeps trying to connect to the east

PLEASE update the Netgear Nighthawk XR700 Netduma DumaOS to the latest version. Please.
so your grouping the players together... other players with netduma devices and not the game?
