Yes, this was really it. Although, I must admit I turned 17 in 1990 so I guess too early to the party... By the time I got to a proper dance-floor/club, techno was really starting to hit hard. And grunge. But in the 80s, you could be anybody and disappear in the music. Just check how creative these party-goers are (clothing, hairstyles) and unashamed, today, you would be laughed at! These are MY party people.
