La première période du match a bien débuté pour Montréal, dominant Toronto en termes de lancers au but. Cependant, la première période s'est terminée sur une note difficile, avec deux buts rapides marqués par Toronto en fin de période.
En deuxième période, Abby Boreen a démontré tout son talent en inscrivant un magnifique but. Peu après, Maureen Murphy a égalisé en déviant habilement la rondelle devant le filet. Malgré ces efforts, Toronto a repris l’avantage, terminant la période avec une avance de 3-2.
La troisième période a offert des moments palpitants. Lina Ljungblom a marqué son premier but dans la LPHF, ramenant les deux équipes à égalité.
La prolongation a été brève mais spectaculaire : en seulement 15 secondes, Laura Stacey a scellé la victoire pour Montréal.

Ce match n'aurait pas dû être aussi proche. Montréal a manqué d'opportunisme, mais tout est bien qui finit bien. Un beau but de Stacey en prolongation, mais quel bijoux de Boreen en 2eme période!

Winning goal: Nice play by Poulin to take the puck away from Larocque (who knows that Pouilin has to be wary), then Poulin made a smart pass to Stacey who completed brilliantly.
Speaking of Poulin and Stacey, she scored in the first part on the power play with a one-timer. It was a blessing in disguise, because it seems like they think they can regularly do what Caufield and Laine do. It won't happen.
Many congratulations to Boreen, Murphy and Ljungblom. Special mention to Tabin.
