This is just a variation on Raga Gunakali. Ravi Shankar did a recording using this Raga Gunakali with Japanese musicians in the 1970s 'East greets East'. Actually different 5 note Bharat scales were used to recite Buddhist slokas and mantras as they moved eastward.
