Hi, does this work for %(v/v) solutions?

It will only work when the density of the substance is 1 Kg/m3. Otherwise, if the density given is otherwise, please convert volume to mass using the density value and then use the same formula to calculate Molarity.

    what is formula weight?

Formula weight or molecular weight are the same for example formula weight for H2O is 18.

in the second example, since it is converted to weight percent why is it divided by 10 and not multiplied by 100?
