Omg ironically the Hifumi one makes a bit of sense. 1. He is the only person in any of the third chapters to get killed by another… after KILLING ANOTHER. All the other chapters had the blackened responsible for BOTH DEATHS. Although you could argue Celeste was responsible for Taka’s death, Hifumi was the one that carried out most of the plan. 2. Isn’t it a bit weird that Hifumi was the Ultimate Fan Fiction Author when there’s already another Ultimate Author? Exactly. Him as the mastermind with another character with a similar talent is a bit suspicious. And especially since Toko was shown to be a much more interesting character in the second trial, Hifumi’s death in the trial afterwards had less impact on the players. That way, he could slip out unnoticed. 3. Hifumi is EERILLY similar to Tsumugi. They both adore fiction with both of them making often references to stories. Both of their talents make sense with the Danganronpa world because they are both aware that the world is purely fictional and can CREATE/WRITE an interesting story. Like Tsumugi, his character was so boring that nobody would suspect him as the mastermind. 4a. Hifumi is one of-if not the only-person to ever leave a SPOKEN dying message. Now, I’m not talking about Nagito’s message, although he was DYING, he wasn’t speaking it at that moment. Nonetheless, Hifumi strangely left behind a CRUCIAL part of evidence, which led to Celeste snapping at the end of her trial. Isn’t it strange that if this happened with anyone else, it would be a direct accusation to any of the students since nobody had the same last name? So why did he agree with Celeste to kill Taka? Because he knew he could frame Celeste as the blackened. He is a Fan Fiction writer. He knows about plot twists. He made the chapter as interesting as possible by PURPOSEFULLY being an easy target, letting Celeste kill him, and used the other student’s knowledge of his previous behavior to point everyone at Celeste. 4b. Hifumi used minor elements from both previous chapters to construct his own death, meaning he was smarter and payed attention to some details from previous murders in order to make his death more interesting, or almost like he WROTE the first 2 chapters. From the first chapter, he used a dying message. He didn’t want to use blood to WRITE out his message, but rather, mark his message. That’s why he cleaned his glasses during the first body discovery. Also, he left a spoken message that seems like the most obvious clue in the entire game that actually points to another person. That sounds familia, huh? The second chapter. There was a message found when the body was discovered, and it turns out that whoever the clue originally pointed at WAS NOT the killer! For the second chapter, the audience is forced to think that Genocide Syo is responsible for the murder since her signature message was left next to Chihiro’s body. However, the knowledge of someone’s true identity and the person who had that knowledge prior to the trial, was crucial is figuring out the true killer. Hifumi was the only one prior to the trial that knew Celeste’s real name. Togami was the only one that knew Toko’s secret of Genocider Syo. Hifumi and Byakuya used this knowledge to point the finger at one particular student. But Hifumi decided to crank it up a notch. 4c. Hifumi also had a particular way of addressing the students. Does that also sound familiar? Believe it or not, it’s also similar from the second chapter. One of the final details pointing to Mondo as the killer in Ch. 2 is the fact that Mondo usually addresses girls as “chicks” and guys as “dudes” (a small detail Kyoko pointed out). Before the class figured out Chihiro’s secret, Mondo called Chihiro a “poor little dude” or something. Why would he call Chihiro a “dude” even before everyone found out Chihiro was a guy? Because he was the killer. In Chapter 3, how did Hifumi know Celeste’s true last name? Because he was a killer. Based off of his previous behavior and way of addressing the students, the true killer’s identity is discovered. Keep in mind, up until this point, there had been only ONE victim, ONE killer in every class trial. Hifumi had wrote the previous chapters in order to prepare the audience for the third trial. 5. Hifumi has an ahoge and it’s not bent or curved, to signify he has a connection to the protagonist in a way that is very important. ❤If you’re reading this, are you okay? I hope so. Wait a minute.
