It's seems really powerful. It's basically a pre nerf khabarovsk at tier 6. Excellent speed and good at dodging return fire, huge health pool, great gun DPM, usable torpedoes, great AP for a DD possibly best in class, greatly benefits from ifhe, BFT, etc.. the only downsides are slow shells and relatively poor turret traverse. The slow shells aren't a problem when dealing with DDs since you're good at closing in and have reasonable concealment. The slow turrets can be fixed with a 2 point captain skill.
You forgot poor turning circle, bad fire angle both for guns and torps.
Beautiful ship if you ask me.
I honestly can't wait for Le Fantasque-class destroyer. Being able to put the Khaba to shame. Unless they do something stupid like make it so you only get that top speed with speed boost. I also really wish that the DD's would come out with BB's. That way we have some variety in choosing what line to go down instead of everyone playing BB's only.
don't the le fantasque class hold the record for the fastest destroyer ever.
If we're talking WW2 and Cold war then yes. But the Norwegian Skjold class ship being able to go at 60kts or 110 kmh or 68.3 mph
After we'll have La Fantastique, I'll wait 'till I can 1v1 one with my Capitani Romani for the final 'big DD' battle :P
The Soviet Destroyer designs were originally not as fast as they are in the game so don't be surprised if they make the Le Fantasque slower

i will never regret getting this ship.
Its so fast I dont get hit,just wish the turrets moved a bit faster.The firing angles are bad enough.

9:04 What do you mean when you said "The British Gallant has the highest damage per shot of any destroyer" - Because Gallant HE = 1700 max damage, which is less than USN, which is less than Soviet DDs... And the Gallant only has 4 guns, do you mean the Cossack? Because even then, USN 5 gun DDs easily out DPM it even with all 3 turrets in play...

I'd check the shop tomorrow. They announced it last month but didnt release it like they said. They now said its this month. This being the last weekend of the month, and German mission/discount weekend, I'd expect it 1/26/2018.

Considering the French designated this type of DD as Contre-torpilleur it's fairly clear it's designed as an anti-torpedoboat destroyer. Only wish the ballistics or torpedo range was ever so slightly better. Probably gonna end up buying it anyway
Well that's how WG designed slow muzzle velocity shells... But don't worry, the ballistic will be improved on the higher tiers =D (shells on the Fantasque class had a velocity of 800 mps for the AP and 840 mps for the HE). As for the torpedoes, WG decided to give them the ones aboard French Submarines. IRL, they had the same 23DT torpedoes already present on the French Cruisers ; you know the one going to 9 km at 60 knots (it could go as far as 13 km IRL). I guess WG found it too much for the French gunboats so they gave them less performant Submarine torpedoes XD.

I have both this and T-61. Like them both for very different reasons. BTW: Anyone else try to move the screen around or have the urge to click on Notser's WOW screen? LOLZ
That is one long French fry of a ship.
Really dont like that BB AP damage vs Destroyers is being nerfed. they are already a pain to deal with, why if I line a shot up, should it not give me a regular pen.

Yeah see this is why we call the bb mains potatoes. Because generally there’s no way of getting deleted in a bb unless you potato out, like give a full broadside to some other bb or stray away from your teammates to get picked up by an enemy destroyer. That’s possibly the only way you can get deleted in a bb instantaneously(not mentioning the fun and engaging mechanisms of the game). But then you come to a DD, just doing it’s job. Contesting caps as it’s supposed to do and scouting for it’s team. Gets spotted by a random plane in close proximity. A battleship nearby with a full AP salvo unloads upon you, you try to wiggle your way through and mistakenly angle to those incoming shells, you manage to dodge 6 out of 8 of those lousy shells. But a couple of them stick. And since you only had 15k or something north of that as your hp pool. You get instantly deleted.
Explain this to me. How is this a balance? A good dd player can get deleted by ‘n’ number of ways but the only way you can delete a BB is when it potatoes out, which they more often than not, do.

I agree about it’s not fair on destroys but your dead wrong about BBs.
You can be deleted so many ways. Torpedoes from destroyers, fires from cruisers, regular damage over time and carrier torps and bombs.
And before you say if you stick with your team a carrier can’t attack you, well you would be wrong again. I played carrier for 3 days before new re-work and I deleted many BBs at the start of matches who were with there team.
Just finished the Aigle Marathon. Have not launched ship yet.
I hoped they were going to make the French dds more so reliant. Like 3k on ap and maybe 1500 on he. Like the germans.

Aigle look pretty large I wonder if it was originally a destroy leader.
The Aigle, as many other French DD, were called "Contre-Torpilleurs" (literally "Counter-Destroyers"). Often called Large or Super Destroyers in english, they were meant to sail ahead of the fleet (mainly the Capital ships) and scout. Their mission required great speed, good endurance and guns powerfull enough to engage any enemy DD or CL.
For it being a French DD you would think the speed would be better.
Edit: If you can reach 45 with Speed boost then never mind.

Go back down into a lower tier where the post-battle costs are not as great. Make your money there.
Buy premium ship or use flags
Plenty of cheap premiums between 5-6 you can make lots of credits on. Which line are you working?
The BEST way to earn Credits, Free XP and Commander XP for your money, is Yamamoto Containers with Dragon, Red Dragon, Wyvern, Oroborous and Hydra flags. I did a whole write up on our clan forum.
I unlocked the nelson with free xp. Must average about 200k profit per game in it, without premium account. Mid tier premiums like this are good money makers.
I wonder what the sigma of the guns of that destroyer is?

these ships are still completely standard though. They don't introduce or contribute to any interesting part of the game. Its just another spot in the store that a few people will buy.

This is a baby cruiser that can be seen at 7.5km. Most non-premium ships at this tier are better at doing destroyer things and you're no match for a battleship or cruiser.

Poor maneuverability, huge size, slow shell velocity and turret traverse, and poor firing angle, I don't see any reason to buy this ship other than that nice looking camouflage.
for me wargaming is not able to make a matchmaking.
i dont like the game anymore. no fair teams. tier 8 always vs tier 10. noobs vs. unicums.

The tier mismatch is extremely rare. Seems like you should go play more co-op and learn your ships before losing badly against humans.
