I have been having hell of a time flying the tbm 930 around all over the place. Being from Central FL its really cool to explore the state from the air. Im really enjoying so far. It definitely has its quirks but all in all having a great time in the sim.
I live in the southwest of Puerto Rico. We didn’t got a lot of rain. But in my area not as bad as other places. The most the wind blew was about 35mph. We lost power for about 3 hours. Anyway the game looks awesome very realistic looking. I never even knew that a game could actually show actual weather radar. Cool video Take care.
The oil refinery that you flew over after leaving the airport is HOVENSA. Actually was or is one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere. I remember taking off on several airline flights and seeing that as we climbed to altitude. Thank u so much for sharing this.
Interestingly enough, the VOR off of St. Croix is named after my grandfather. It’s called Pivar VOR. He was very involved and worked for the FAA. Just some aviation trivia for you all out there. 👍
You might already know this but it helped me HUGE. Turn on Vsync in Nvidia panel and set the frames to 30, ( for some reason Vsync is actually helping in this sim unlike others) then turned off Vsync in game settings. Solid 30 frames doesn't move at all. Game is ridiculously smooth.

Nice i was there flying threw tropical storm Laura but I landed in Puerto Rico around 12mid day that’s when the storm started to kick in the visibility was insane the rain was insane during the landing process.
If you have the headphone setting turned on in the sound settings in the game settings, you won't be able to hear the plane start up. I keep mine on default.

only for IFR flights, the reason why is so if you lose communications with ATC, you'll know when to climb to a specified altitude that was given to you in your clearance. For example, "N123AB, climb and maintain 2,000 expect 8,000 10 minutes after departure". If you lost comms, once your timer hits 10 minutes you would climb to 8,000 ft. :)
Since this is a simulator and not really a game I think it would be really fun if either Microsoft or a third party would add actual delivery missions to the sim. That would be awesome.
Do yourself a favor and wait till the 3000 series of Nvidia cards come out (September). they have already stopped production of the 2000 ones. IE 2080,2070,2060's. The RTX 3070 would be one to keep your eyes on. Will have GREAT performance and not kill the bank.
SInce when is this simulator CPU bound? It is GPU bound. My cpu stays under 50% and my gpu is maxed. Where you get the cpu bound thing for live traffic etc I have no idea. I have live traffic on just fine.
So no turbulence or at least a little bit of rain when going inside a storm? hmmm looked like a walk in the park honestly taking into account that you were flying on red zones on your wx radar, idk if that's realistic but I have my doubts. Nice video
Jeff, I don’t have the awesome set up you have, but I’m trying to get my HOTAS ONE buttons reassigned, but not seeing it in options, plus as Forest Gump said, I’m not a smart man. Any advise would be awesome. BTW, loving the new Flight Sim!

Nothing happens in these storms, the only winds I ever get are a steady 3 knots at 225 no matter what is reported and little to no turbulence
