Me and my wife left this because they got very controlling. Sayings needed to be at every service no exceptions even went as far to try to get me to leave my job that was stopping me from doi g service on saturday for one that would allow it and other members worked at. I am still trying to deprogram their teachings since their teaching early on in converting you sounds so believable
So glad you got out. Please please remember that humans are fallible and misleading...God isn't. You're not sure about something? Check the Bible. People may let you down and make up their own rules, God doesn't let you down, and His rules are written and eternal. You are saved through faith, no uearly ritual etc. When Jesus returns, no one knows-the Bible says so. No person can tell you they are Him or that they know when Jesus will come. Also remember, Jesus loves you!

I personally had an encounter with one of their 'missionaries' at walmart. this guy called out literally from down the isle, "Have you ever heard of god the mother?"
I hung my head, "No I haven't tell me about her."
My first thought was this is a cult. We debated scripture for over ten minutes, and this guy was sweating, because I read my bible and I know what it says. he would take one scripture out of context and was using a bible app on his phone. I would scroll up and read out the whole context and counter his points. at the end of the encounter he said, "You should come to one of our bible studies." because he realized that he was not getting through. This sadly was not possible as this was in Dallas and I was only in this town for the weekend. I hoped that I would find out what cult this was at somepoint.
THEY ALMOST SUCKED ME IN lol met them on my school campus.. I ran when they tried to baptize me 😮💨
Crazy. So im an athiest who grew up catholic and a group of these people came up to me to see if i can join their bible study. I was on campus when they talked to me. I said yes because i love to learn about religion even though i dont believe. After 6 months of going, im just very surprised on their beliefs. Im not judging. But they now want me to be baptized. This whole time they thought i believed in god but i will soon reveal that i dont. Lol i feel bad, but whatever

What happened? 😂 I have this old friend from college, 10+ years ago...we both studied and received chemistry degrees. He didn't continue along the path of science. Long story short, he contacted me and he's a minister in this and I'm very interested to go for the same reasons you did. I'm also a non theist. He doesn't know that.

I actually Bible studied with them for a few months, probably 13 different times and went out to dinner with them, for the most part it was a positive experience. However on the 13th or so study they mentioned the founder, the guy I was studying with acted shocked I didn’t know, then proceeded to explain and that was the end of that.
They try to get you to get baptized right away!
