I’m just a bit curious on Zara and if she is a hard keeper or has some type of health issue that is causing her to be so skinny? I really don’t want to sound rude I’m just curious so no offense because I think your an amazing person!
She's an off the track thoroughbred and they can be on the skinnier side but she is also a speedy girl and is super fit so she looks a little ribby :)
She is a hard keeper yes, she is being fed twice a day on top of hay and grass 24/7. We're just trying to figure out a better feed to put her on and testing that.
you could check if she has stomach ulcers or not, since she has a hard time gaining weight even though being fed properly :)) I've known several horses, which were fed with very expensive feeds etc., but they were super skinny nevertheless and treating ulcers solved the problem! Besides that I wanted to say she's fancy and you two make a good team!

Yes, she is skinny. Does that mean she is being starved? No.
Does that mean she isn’t getting cared for and loved? No.
Does that mean that some horses are just hard to keep weight on no matter what you do? Yes.
Does that means you should take a look at the situation and prior videos before leaving hate comments? Yes.
She's a lease horse and not her own. I believe She's working on that and taking good care of her but you cant change that in a week or even a month
It’s not hers and it takes a long time to build a top line you can’t do it in a few months
that horse is disgustingly skinny especially seeing as shes in full work, have you checked for gastric ulcers or do you just not feed her
I agree the horse is too thin but obviously the horse gets fed or it would be a rack of bones and unable to jump. I can think of a hundred better ways to ask about her horse’s weight. You never know what’s going on in a situation. #bekind
of course it can still jump if its not been fed they graze on hay or grass all day, its actual horse feed that they need to be able to perform in this kind of heavy work, otherwise they just become skinny.
Literally don’t think she’s morbidly skinny...she’s just racing fit...there’s a difference between lean, and muscled and skinny...
