The way C. C. Orlev talks about the ravens makes me wonder if he is connected to them in some way. The way he talks about them sounds so ominous yet personal. Also I wonder who that character is we saw yet isn’t talked about.
How fast are you Lord Spooky?! The music helps with how ominous he sounds. The book seems to have really reduced the importance of Awakened compared to the game it seems.
@@spellandshield Working online helps lol. But I find it very interesting how C. C. Orlev talks about the ravens. It’s far more sympathetic and emotional than any of the other narrations. It's pretty good world building.
Fantastic lore. Every time C.C. Orlev says his name, it feels like he's trying to hold on to who he is, or who he's pretending to be. There's just something about him repeating his name.
Given how they want the lore of this game to cover multiple media platforms I really hope it's successful. Matthew McConaughey being able to play CC on multiple projects, including live action, would be absolutely sick.
The wonder and potential horror of humanity. These fantastic creatures, already amazing in their primordial state, having their incredible potential realized...we delight and dream of such things. What we learned of the bears should make us think.
ok that is SO cool! such a beautiful (and tragic) literary use of ravens' inherited memory to capture that sense of historical sadness and wisdom and hope
In Robert Baratheon voice:" Gods the lore was strong then..." I'm liking the way their delivering lore and news in general. Doesn't feel too exposition heavy due delivery as well as Matthews M acting.
Seeing this trailer immediately made me think of the book Children of Memory. That book also had intelligent ravens who were excellent as problem solvers. I wonder if that was the inspiration for these
I’m Belboz Underhill... and I want a gameplay trailer of this gem. Yesterday, today and tomorrow… and possibly for the months to come. :P P.S. Devs, you’re making a fantastic job. Just wanted to tell you. :)
Perfect Huginn and Muninn reference. Goddamn the imagination involved in coming up with all of this. 4 hours into the prequel novel and loving it so far!
Came here to say exactly this. It hurts the ear with earphones on! Plus, the volume will be turned up for most people because the script is so quiet, so when the whistling letter S comes up, it's very uncomfortable.
I'm really rooting for this project; you can see it's being created by passionate people, true creators, not the sad folks from the marketing department like so many recent AAA productions made for no one in particular. The lore looks incredible, and the challenge is huge… How do you tell 40,000 years of human history and the beings that originate from it? It's a massive undertaking.
By passing down painful memories, are the Ravens caught in a cycle of inherited trauma? Could this lead to a collective personality shaped more by fear than by growth?
Ravens are highly intelligent, on par with young children, and they are majestic. I can't wait for this game to come out, we're in dire need of a good game, now more than ever.

Not sure if it comes down to voice direction, dialect coaching, the equipment or the performer but I truly hope this isn't prevalent in the game itself, audio is important.
