- Hello RUclips! In this video I will demonstrate how to sleeve the power cables on a D5 pump. This is a complete tutorial on how to sleeve a pump all the way inside the pump, so you get a completely clean look. Check out the links below for all the tools and supplies you’ll need to do this yourself!

Thanks for taking the time to do this video. I was wondering why you shrank then removed the heatshrink from the Molex end. Presumably it's self-adhesive heatshrink and it leaves the glue? It looks like the Molex end could have kept the heatshrink on, like there's enough space? I have a Laing D5 Vario and the Swiftech branded one (MCP-655 I think) so am planning on sleeving them too. I have a stockpile of nylon braided sleeving and heatshrink, so was just curious about the sleeveless ends.
Very late reply but the heatshrink that melts at the end will also melt the sleeving into a nice smooth end. That way when you remove the heatshrink you don't have this ugly, black plastic on the edge of the connector that can stand out in a way you don't want. If you try to do this without the heatshrink it will not come at as nice looking.
Damn I wish an ATX pin remover worked like that. LOL And FIRST.
Is it possible to replace a molex connector by another type of connector ? For example a 3 pins ?
