My close friend and I was just discussing this yesterday, the act of praying for those hurting you instead of immediately reacting with your own defense. By deciding to move in a different direction than your former self would, God gets the glory, at all times! And what he does with it is much more valuable and impactful than our little clapback. Stephen's story reminds me of Jesus preaching up until the day he was crucified. Being more like Christ is the goal, each and every day until we get to see glory :) Great solo talk Megan!

Amidst all the confusion goin on in the body right now, this is the most Christ centered approach I've seen. You addressed so many things with simply referring to the word of God in this conversation. This is ACTUALLY how you address, rebuke and edify according to God's will and not to our own "righteousness". This is what it looks like to be truly surrendered to the spirit. Our ways are not his ways...
Father God give me strength, I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. Megan’s genuine excitement going through the Word is absolutely infectious!😊♥️ But this passage was truly one that brought out spirit-led resilience indeed! The flesh would have cried out otherwise.😫 When Stephen asked the Lord to not hold it against them, basically asking Him to forgive them, while he (Stephen) also forgave them; I couldn’t help but to see how Stephen’s heart was postured towards the Lord for him to recognize that those stoning him to death, even though their actions spoke otherwise, are the Lord’s children. They were made in the image and likeness of the Lord and they still belonged to Him. And I couldn’t help but likened it to Yeshua. The very ones that Yeshua came to give His life for, the ones who were made in His image and likeness, were the very ones that “took His life” and He also asked for forgiveness for them and said to His Father in Heaven, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34) Lord, help us to face adversity, led by Your Spirit and not by our flesh. Remind us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. This is a hard teaching... Knowing we serve a king, rather * The King*... who WILLFULLY allowed His life to be marred and murdered by the hands of Man is still a point i struggle with... "The student is not greater than the teacher". I get it- He got up again!! But at least David cut Sauls robe letting him know HE **COULD HAVE** KILLED him!!... To just go out- without a fight!!.... Ima need more help than i even know to ask for... Or just pray God keep me from those types of circumstances all together - i don't want to fall short of His glory in my death.
