Do you know how mamy inches the hair needs to be ? most braiders on youtube said 1 and a half to 2 packs prestreched hair if that helps

In the United States is it common to go to the hair salon without washing your hair to make braids or are they dandruff because of the excess cream? Sorry for the ignorance.
Here in the United States, we do wash our hair before a braid install if we decide not to pay the extra fee to have the hair stylist wash it for you. It is always recommended to have the stylist wash it with the products, but to save time wash it before your appointment.
