Dude that trail is so awesome looking. Looks nothing like anything I've ridden here in the states, even Whistler. I hate skinnies to bro! 👌 I talked to a guy this past weekend on a ride and he had the 38. He loved it!!
They are kick ass. Coming from the 34’s you really notice the difference. Yeah its a great trail. Thats one off the things l love about watching mtb vids, is you get too see such cool places. Thanks for the support brother. Much appreciated. 🤙🏴
Mark Collingwood thanks mate. I was really impressed with them, that was a super rocky day and they ate the lot. I really noticed the difference coming from the 34 rhythm. Thanks for watching again dude. Stay safe.
your right there. They really got a workout, so did I though. It's defo one off the more gnarly trails round here, but the dirt was running super sweet. Super impressed with the forks, a lot more secure than my old ones. Thanks for your support dude. Ride safe
Nice trails! At 9:40 for your buddy crashed, but I'm wondering why he didn't have his seatpost down? Perhaps that's part of the problem? It sounds like you're very happy with those forks for eating up all the chunk. I thought most people would run the 2.6 in the front if they were going to run mixed tire sizes, but you have 2.5 in front. Hi run 25 psi in the back and 24 PSI in the front with 2.6 tires in both places. I weigh about 183 lb Plus Pack, but I think you're much bigger. Just wondering if you could drop a few PSI and get some more squish from the tires for traction. Running tubeless illuminates the concern for inch flat, but still it's important not to let the sides roll about. I use the black diamond butcher from specialized and it's much better than the standard butcher tire that came with 2019. Now they've switched the new bikes to Black Diamond series tires. They have a very heavy sidewall and it works quite well. I've run at least three already on the back. I just bought an eddy-current 2.6 from Schwalbe and it has a very heavy sidewall as well. I think it's slightly thicker based on the best I could measure with a caliper and some spacers. I intended to put it on the front, but I didn't realize the sidewall would be as heavy as it is. It's okay to run on the back as well because my buddy in Switzerland that recommended it is using this tire on the front and rear. The rear tire design for the eddy current is alleged to be not so good for cornering according to my buddy. He prefers the front tire used in both positions. This is all TBD in terms of performance for me.
Yeah he wiped out on the rocks. That trail is his local so l think he switched off for a sec. theres no room for error on that trail. Sooo many nasty rocks. I thought l’d try the minions and see what all the fuss is about. They’ve been good to me so far. Still playing about with the psi. So many differents terrains here from really swampy to hard pack. I guess its just trial and error. Thanks for the support buddy. Much appreciated.
@@trailsfromthedarkside6460 I have the 2.6 minion dhf exo+ 120tpi in the front and it works well. It's slightly heavier sidewall than the specialized standard butcher. That's why I wanted it. I just thought I would give a try to the eddy current based on my buddy's input. The Black Diamond is definitely a heavier side wall then the Maxxis tires. I find that the extra weight in the sidewall it's no concern because of the eBike aspect and it gives a lot of stability and allows lower pressure. When I got my 2019 levo it came with the butcher standard in the back and it was replaced under warranty because I tore the sidewall at the bead. I concluded it was because the sidewall was too thin for the duty cycle I expected.
@@trailsfromthedarkside6460 visited there a while back one new year break but frustratingly didn't have my bike with me....though I did see Guy Martin ride past me on the trail. 😁
