Living For 6 Years With Advanced Melanoma: My Cancer Journey

- As I record this today, it is my 6 year cancerversary. I was diagnosed in a very unconventional way with stage 3c metastatic melanoma, and the experience I have had since has been surreal. Sad, frustrating, scary... happy, gratifying, and still hopeful. In this stage 4 cancer vlog, I share how it all started, some details on where it's gone, and what it means to still be alive with an incurable cancer that has changed my life forever.
My goal in sharing videos like these is to show other cancer patients and their loved ones what it is actually like to go through a serious cancer diagnosis, and how it is possible with some good fortune and good support to continue living a full life for however long our bodies allow it.
Thank you for watching; it's been a hell of a ride so far.
Byyyyeeeee
It's scary to even hear you talk about what happened. What a way to ruin your day. But "lucky" you were in the right place at the right time to prevent it from getting even worse. Again, we have to say thank you for the miracle of modern medicine and the caring people who practice it. Always glad to see you, Mike.
It obviously stands out as this "world stands still" moment in time for me... but I really do cherish that story. Such a ridiculous confluence of luck, caring, and to date, it's been a positive/successful story. And holy shit, yes, to the miracle of modern medicine; there would be no funny anecdotes about this if I got stage 3 melanoma in 1998 instead of 2018. Thanks for chatting!
Good Luck. Like yourself I recently had Stage 3 cancer which was removed with zero in the margins. Given its type it probably will return. The best one can be is, like yourself, positive, and enjoy each day you get.
I am grateful to all your medical "heroes" (Christine, and others) for saving your life. Hearing your story gives me chills. I am sending you love, hugs and good vibes for a cancer-free long life. ❤❤
I omitted the part where I called you that night - maybe for another vlog. ♥
Loved hearing your entire journey.

Hey Carmen! Thanks - I love that story, even if it’s a weird one at times emotionally. But I owe those women my life for sure.
Really appreciate hearing your story. Best of luck.
Appreciate the kind words; hope you're doing well in whatever adventure your life holds 💪🏻
Thanks for sharing your story and doing these videos, I'm new to your channel.
What type of diet do you follow mainly? Have you done any specific diets or fasting? Has it helped?
Thanks in advance!!
How about writing your Story
It’s really apparent how well you express yourself and will give hope to many younger Cancer Patients with a similar diagnosis
Actually, all we can do is live one day at a time
No use dwelling into a future that none of us are promised
My hero.
And you mine. Seriously, it’s awesome to have made friends with you ❤️
Nice job Mike
Thanks, Bill!
Wow, Chachi, I had no idea. Hope Joanie is taking good care of you.
How was your recurrence found? On a routine PET scan?
My parotid lymph node became inflamed in December '22. That/2 other spots baaaarely lit up the MRI, so we needle biopsied (coincidentally 1 year ago today). Diagnosed 02/24/23.
@@Linn_Laugh_Love this is when you went on Nivo/ipi and had 2 treatments? You said the lymph node shrunk/went away.....did the small spots go away too?
❤🙏🤗
